so my first clones i tried in jiffy pots didn't root after 2 weeks they turned brown and died i had lots of 100%hum but notta i pulled em out and no roots at all

soo this is my next plan i've read about: cloning in straight water !

i have a glass of room temp tap water with tinfoil over the top and sides to keep light out and i cut the clone on a 45 degree angle put it in water and twirled it around to get rid of any air bubbles if there was any and i placed it in rooting gel and then back into the water

i have a bowl with about 1/2 inch of water at the bottom with a 2l pop bottle with the top cut off over it to keep it humid for the little girl i'm really hoping this one roots if not i shall try something else tell me what you think

ps about 2 inches of the clone is below the tin foil and about 1 inch of it is in the waterIMAG1273.jpg

Make sure you expose it to fresh air and change the water daily, give it a spray of water on the leaves once in a while and avoid direct light...just filtered light at this time...g/l

yeah i'm gonna change the water everyday and leave the top of the bottle for an hour a day or longer?, and keep it on a shelf in my room so it doesnt get any real sunlight ! thank for the good luck i'll probably need it!

I've always had excellent results with just a dome and heating pad. Five bucks or so for the dome and heating pad like 10-15 bucks. My heating pad has been on for over two years straight still works well worth the money I spent on it.

i actually have the bowl sitting on top of my satelight receiver so it stays warm and i looked for a dome in my town cant find anything bigger then the jiffy pots:/ can anyone tell me how to empty the water and fill it up again with out getting air in the end of the stem? do i just over flow the cup to freshen it up orr does it really matter?

There is no magic she has to be exposed at some point. Usually just fill another cup and go from one to the next limiting exposure time.

Also if your having such trouble do the easiest method.

Air stone in a bucket or cup and sit the clone inside. less than a week it will be very rooted and able to drop into soil or hydroponics.

Same natural process as plants growing on top of water.

Build yourself a cheap DWC or aeroponics cloner. You can get all the stuff you need at your local WalMart for under $50 (including the pump!!). There are lots of DYI's out there for cloners. Do a bit of research and upgrade, my friend!

i used a 1 gallon ice cream bucket cut a hole in the cover for the pot,

took a 45 cent pot from walmart drilled a fuck ton of holes in it

used glass 1/2 marbles to hold the clone in place

a air pump and air stone

and let her go i failed at the jiffy pot method this worked the first time i'm going to tryed it again after i see real roots from this one( probably later today or tmro)!
