Can i throw some clones that i have into flowering for just long enough to sex, then pull them out and put them back into veg, wait a week and then back to flowering or is that just going to completely throw them off?

Why would you take cuttings from a plant that you don't know the sex of?

Do you know what the sex of the donor plant was?

no i dont know the sex of the original plant, there was a hermaphrodite in this harvest but im not sure which plant these came off of.

Yes you can reveg them. They might grow slowly and make some strange leaves for a week or so, but they will reveg. You only have to flower 1 of them, whatever sex it is the others will be also.

You do know that cuttings taken from a female plant will always be female themselves right?

Or in the case of this stress...a hermie.

Ive done it plenty of times, never had a hermie. Lots of folks have done this, not a problem.

FYI You take clones from KNOWN FEMALES, that way you know you have all females cuttings.

If toggling between 12/12 and 24/0 at will won't cause hermies, then what does?

yes i know if i take clones off females they will be females, these clones were taken before the originals were sexed, they came from seeds, no way to know one way or another. Tahnks for the info guys.

Ill just throw them into my flowering room for a week and see what happens.

Doing that light change 5 separate times over the course of several weeks could stress it enough, flowering for far longer than normal also can do it, spraying with Gibberelic acid or colloidal silver will cause hermies, over nuteing, cutting half the roots off, anything that would cause lots of stress. Some plants are so stable that you can never get them to hermie by natural means.
I have heard of people saying a pure landrace strains are much easier to get to hermie with light schedule changes or interruptions of dark. I can't confirm that though.

SO YOUR SAYING ! that you can take a cutting off a female plant while flowering put the stem in some soil put it back onto a 18/6 shecdule and they would reveg and make a whole new plant ? is that what im getting from this ?

No, were saying you could take a cutting from a flowering plant, then turn that cutting into a clone by using normal cloning procedures, once it is cloned then go ahead and veg that sucker out and either flower it later on or use it as a mother plant.

You should go read up on cloning.
