Can i throw some clones that i have into flowering for just long enough to sex, then pull them out and put them back into veg, wait a week and then back to flowering or is that just going to completely throw them off?
Why would you take cuttings from a plant that you don't know the sex of?Can i throw some clones that i have into flowering for just long enough to sex, then pull them out and put them back into veg, wait a week and then back to flowering or is that just going to completely throw them off?
Scratches head... Can't imagine why you're getting hermaphrodites....no i dont know the sex of the original plant, there was a hermaphrodite in this harvest but im not sure which plant these came off of.
Yes you can reveg them. They might grow slowly and make some strange leaves for a week or so, but they will reveg. You only have to flower 1 of them, whatever sex it is the others will be also.
You do know that cuttings taken from a female plant will always be female themselves right?
Or in the case of this stress...a hermie.
If toggling between 12/12 and 24/0 at will won't cause hermies, then what does?Ive done it plenty of times, never had a hermie. Lots of folks have done this, not a problem.
FYI You take clones from KNOWN FEMALES, that way you know you have all females cuttings.
Doing that light change 5 separate times over the course of several weeks could stress it enough, flowering for far longer than normal also can do it, spraying with Gibberelic acid or colloidal silver will cause hermies, over nuteing, cutting half the roots off, anything that would cause lots of stress. Some plants are so stable that you can never get them to hermie by natural means. If toggling between 12/12 and 24/0 at will won't cause hermies, then what does?
SO YOUR SAYING ! that you can take a cutting off a female plant while flowering put the stem in some soil put it back onto a 18/6 shecdule and they would reveg and make a whole new plant ? is that what im getting from this ?
You should go read up on cloning.SO YOUR SAYING ! that you can take a cutting off a female plant while flowering put the stem in some soil put it back onto a 18/6 shecdule and they would reveg and make a whole new plant ? is that what im getting from this ?
