Clone slow to root?

Got a few clones last week including this Fire OG. Roots were starting to poke out of the cube, put in a small pot with Fox farms last Tuesday. New growth is small and slow. Bottom leaves did initially get a few drops of water, the brown spots have grown -- pretty sure that's from droplets and the sun. Anyway, is this slow/small growth just because it has not yet rooted well yet? My other clone, Blue Dream, is doing very well. Just need patience on this one?

BTW They had been getting 6 or so hours of direct sun since last week, cut that down to 4 in the early morning hours because we're having 100dg temps this week, indirect sun20200526_134019 (1).jpg

Dispensary guy said these are almost impossible to kill. Just hoping it's still rooting. I grew some on one of my last grows years ago, kicked my ass, it almost was like a sativa high

Just for comparison, here's the Blue Dream. It was much bigger to begin with and had more leaves, as you can see I've already tied the top down and some newer growth taking over on top.blue.jpg

Not one of my clones grew at the same rate, and they were all the exact same size. I am however in a tent, so I’m not really sure how the process goes outside of one.

I do plan on repotting in the next few days into a bigger pot, it's already in Fox Farms. Just thinking maybe I should let it root a bit better in the pot it's in. No real new growth aside from the fresh, small leaves on top that have been there since last week.

Don’t wait. Break up what it’s in when you transplant. It looks like it’s been too moist in my opinion.

For another week or so I'll need the pots to be portable so just a slightly bigger pot, not big. After this heat wave and they root better I'll just leave them outside. Too small right now, leafhoppers and animals will mess them up if left out all night

Just an update, been two weeks since I put them in soil, moved to these slightly bigger pots last week. The Blue Dream is doing great, you can see it's responding well to LST. The Fire OG is just going slow, leaves are pretty small. I did give both a quarter dose (or less) of Grow Big last watering. Dirt in both dry down to my knuckle but fee relatively heavy still, may just having a bit of moisture towards the bottom of the pot will help the roots expand, and hopefully get things growing better for the Fire OG20200601_144515_HDR.jpg
