clone tomatoes

That is exactly what I do, on my plants that start to divide off, I let the "armpit growth" grow until it is about 3" from the top to bottom of the cutting. Larger cuttings root faster and stronger than smaller cuttings do in my experience. I use a Turbokloner T24 in order to clone my plants. I also use a timer (1min on/4min off) which helps to keep my reservoir temps down. The images I have attached are day 5 in my Turbokloner. I will update in a few days with images of my clones. This variety is Sweet 100.20130423_150941.jpg20130423_151032.jpg20130423_151055.jpg

That I know of you can clone most everything if you use the correct method. I just took 6 clones from some of my tomatoes to test hybrid vs heirloom. I used some fast growing volunteer plant (the hybrid) and I used a Heirloom Black From Tula. As far as technique goes I took cutting of tips just like you would cannabis except some of my tomato tips where flowering. I used Rapid Rooters and Hormex powder. The hybrids took 1 week to have roots coming out the side of the plug and the heirloom took about 2 to 3 weeks before they showed roots. They did loose the flowers but branched out between the other internodes. Here are two pics from the hybrid. I have had them in my kitchen window and don't want to throw them away. The roots used to be about 1' long.
