yes. seeds always start off with a tap root. Roots will stretch deep for nutrients, increased water supply, and stability. The larger the root structure, the more nutrients and water a plant can take in. As long as the roots are healthy and are not hitting a barrier, they will continue to stretch through out their vegetative period, deep into flowering. When there is a low water-table and a plant receives water from the top continuously, is there any incentive to grow a tap at all? Regardless of clone or seed?
That's a prime example of how vigor works. You're plants from seed are more vigorous. In this case, since you're growing them out to be monsters, that's probably going to be a big advantage. But if you were doing a SOG grow it would be a huge disadvantage because the more vigorous plant will stretch more and the node spacing will become less desirable for that particular type of grow. In that case the less vigorous fuller clones would be an advantage.i only have 6 clones and 10 seed plants, the seed girls are MUCH MUCH bigger than the clones, but the clones are full and more like bushes, the seed plants are big and tall all around trees! take a look at my grow and see! ive taken clones to replace the querkle plants i ripped out a few weeks back, so we will see how good the clones from the humboldt kush catches up, same for the nevilles haze! i cant wait to see the results!
This is what I've noticed in our grow. 4 seed and 5 clones. The clones are way bushy and the seeds look like King Kongs ........... well you kinda get the picture. lol The leaves are huge.i only have 6 clones and 10 seed plants, the seed girls are MUCH MUCH bigger than the clones, but the clones are full and more like bushes, the seed plants are big and tall all around trees! take a look at my grow and see! ive taken clones to replace the querkle plants i ripped out a few weeks back, so we will see how good the clones from the humboldt kush catches up, same for the nevilles haze! i cant wait to see the results!

People misunderstand this subject frequently. Hell, I don't fully understand it. Many people think the best plant you can possibly have under any circumstances is a plant from seed and every time you're cloning it, you're losing quality like you would when you photocopy a photocopy. It doesn't work that way at all.
If you get a cheapo greenhouse or build your own cheapo greenhouse, you can contain the pollen. I do this and produce seeds a few hundred feet from my grow and it's never been a problem for me.Sweet. I am about to try to breed and do some seeds next year. Does anyone know how far the males pollen can spread? l
im gonna have to firmly disagree with you on the more potent part... i forget the strain but i was at a club that tests their tree for potentcy and their highest one was 23.5% and it was grown from clone...seed are much stronger, better yield and more potent. however seeds are for the purest they take a while to start and they have to be taken care of, not for money growers
lol, some pcp pipe? i think you meant pvc?If you get a cheapo greenhouse or build your own cheapo greenhouse, you can contain the pollen. I do this and produce seeds a few hundred feet from my grow and it's never been a problem for me.
Get some pcp pipe and transparent painters tarp from home depot and you're good to go.
A long long way. Pollen can travel for up to several hundred feet, but typically does not travel much further than 100 feet or so.Sweet. I am about to try to breed and do some seeds next year. Does anyone know how far the males pollen can spread? l
What prior experience or knowledge do you have for it to be such a loaded question? Personally i hate seeds, they are slow and annoying and piss me off, clones every time if it's an option, they root then they're off, seeds fart around doing bugger all for a good while until they're big enough for the growth to start becoming apparent. Will a clone grow as vigorous as a seed? Also I am just asking because I have never tested or charted this info. statistics and notes on growth, nutes, water, and amount of sun would be cool if you have it. thank you
