That's where I'm leaning. In the picture the mystery strain is on the left and on the right is a clone that already caught up in height. The mystery strain had been growing long before the new clone rooted.
Would that fact that the outdoor plant of origin is getting sunlight instead of indoor light like this is now??
That I can’t answer. I replied the way I did because I’m Spartan when it comes to plants. It flies and flies right or it’s compost. There’s too many seeds to be a nurse to a sick plant. Seedlings - is it struggling? Not for long here.
Maybe get it out that salt encrusted bag with compacted soil.
Yeah, I knew the soil I was using was crap. I ran out of the other mix I was using and this is the only bag that crusted up. I was looking at transplanting it as a last chance effort
If you have materials and space go for it.
I've checked on it and it's just now going into flower outdoorsHow close is your neighbor's plant to harvest? Try some and keep the clone if you really like the weed. That's my opinion.
Realistically, everything I'm growing is for fun. I find it relaxing. It's a learning experience. I hope to be a decent home grower.
I completely agree. I would never put a plant in a bag with out cleaning it. That is the worst I have seen. I also agree with the clones clearly stretching, I'm sure that's why it caught up to the other plant so quickly.
Have you thought about topping or femming? Then the bottom branches will start to grow. Also I agree with what someone else said, your plants are stretching. You need to either lower the light or get a stronger one.
I just topped the skinny stretchy one and the light has been significantly lowered. The bag was new at first, but the initial soil mix was garbage and caused the build up on the bag. I since cleaned up the root ball and transplanted into a better soil mix. Today was day one of it perking back up since the transplant.
Sounds like you are on the right track. Some of the best ones I have ever grown have been bag seed. Are you sure it was the soil did that to the bag? You weren't using any bottled nutes that might have done it? Ever since I stopped using bottled nutes and moved towards completely organic my bags never end up like that anymore.
Yup I am the same way. I finally decided to try growing some other things. I am realizing veggies can be a little more difficult. I had some Green beans going but I gave it some fertilizer, then a heat wave came through and burned it up. Then I had some snap peas going and they looked great but then we had a few humid days and boom powdery mildew, so I tossed it. My basil, parsley and a few house plants are doing great though. I also just started some carrots so I guess we will see how that goes.
