so is this possible im being pushed by a partner to take clones from this plant seeing as it turned out amazingly and i feel like ive read on here its not possible or its not a good idea.

you can do it to save the strain.. be ready for a long wait while it reverts to veg... but you should still be able to do it.. hell you could harvest all but the bottom of the plant.. trim the rootball back and put the plant back into veg and it should take back off too..in time.
I am experimenting with taking flowering clones too.. I just did some at 3 weeks.. next time will be 4.. to test rooting times..but I personally wouldn't do it later than that as usually by 4 weeks I have some pretty good bud sites, BUT in your case it's different - to keep the genetics. take from lower branches if you have them (meaning if you didn't already lollipop them)- good luck.

i have the branches in mind i just dont know if im down for this, guy wants me to give em to him to grow i get half the yeild, prob is even though he's my best friend he knows nothing about growing(even though he thinks he does) he gets all his info about growing from hicks who think if you put ice all around the bottom of the plant it will shock them into budding bahahaha so i duno ima have to think about this.

if it's not to save the strain.. at this point.. I wouldn't do it.. tell him to enjoy the smoke with ya (to an extent..lol) and when you grow again you will hook him up with a clone or two from the veg stage of growth that he can play with...then he'll hopefully just leave it at that...

i really would like to save the strain i mean it has great genetics even though its bagseed it was high quality stuff and the plant is just amazing but i really dont think im going to do it, if he had the know how,the equipment and was willing to take advice from me i might doit to save the strain and help a buddy out but sadly he has none of that and wont listin to what i say cause aparently my plants arent good enough proof i know what im doing haha.

i would never ruin my harvest to make clones for someone who doesn't know what they are doing and insults my plants. if you really want to save the strain then take clones but keep them for yourself, then clone off one of those to give to him. maybe by then he'll have a clue.
