Clones and Heat Mats

I moved the mother/clone room into a different part of the basement. The temps are usually constant around 66`F. Cuttings are put into rockwool and then under a humidity dome.. I've noticed that my success rate in the new room has fallen from 90% to about 75% (same mother plants) and my rooting times have increased noticeably. I'm thinking this could be due to the lower temp

For those who use heat pads under their humidity domes, are they worth the money? Some people swear by them whereas others (such as myself) have fine results without using a pad.. :peace:

66 is cold.... do you know the temo in the dome... I assume you are lighting the dome with a CFL or similar?

I never liked heating pads.... Something about spending money on anything besides LIGHT (especially when it comes to providing heat) pained me....

The temp in the dome was 67.5`F when i checked it a few hours ago.. it's under a 42W CFL at the moment.. and i totally agree with your 2nd comment.. i dont feel like spending money to heat up my mother room when i have to spend stupid amounts of money to regulate the temps in the flowering room..

i was just thinking that i could also rig somethin up in a closet of an upstairs room where its warmer.. it only needs to be big enough to hold the dome and a CFL anyways.
