Well I started with four clones and two are well on their way to vegetative growth. These two here are not rooting and VERY CONCERN about the tallest one. She has been yellowing more and more everday. I'm scared her days are coming to an end soon. The other one looks good but no roots (hopefully she will root at least)

Shot 1
Its sad to see this happen to my girl

Shot 2
She doesnt deserve this...

Any quick advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have them in a humidity dome?
Yellowing is good it means that its actually producing roots just wait it out and if you have to foliar feed lightly with a N solution. Lamp

Lampshade to the rescue!!!!

Man I got to love you for the reassurance you have always been given me. :bigjoint:

Yes, they are in a humitidy dome, I just took them off for the purpose of the camera.

Some N food might help? A little iffy on that one.

How long have you been trying to root them? The one thing that really seemed to help my clones is to put a heating pad under the container. I know you can get a lizard heating pad from a pet store or even walmart. I live in a rather cold area and find the added heat really helps the rooting process. The extra heat actually cut my rooting time in half.

I don't advise using a regular heating pad since water and electricty could be a downer :).

Good luck and keep us posted.

The clones has been in the humidity dome for a little over two weeks. Two other ones cloned no problem but these two need a bit more time maybe.

Heating pad...I was going to purchase one for my tray and dome but they wanted $60 bucks for a pad. Thats a little outrageous when I can get a PPM tester thats more vauable.

I know within time I WILL get one way or another. I`m a gadget freak! And I like to have my childern in the best enviorment as possible.

I will definitley keep you updated!

I'm so worried that I woke up nice and early to check on them but they're not even awake yet LMAO *sparks a joint*

In the second picture, you can start to see some browning on top which isnt a good sign I dont think.

Have you tried your local pet store for a pad? Really they are not expensive, around $20, ofcourse I do not know where you are or the availablity of something like that. What I am talking about can be seen here http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752526

My experience is that some strains root faster than others. Are they all the same strain? Ofcourse not all clones take all the time. I have had a few clones not make it, just will not root for whatever reason. I am sure it's user error on my part :dunce:

The pad just seems to speed up the process it will not insure the clone to take just those that will root will be able to go into dirt quicker. So I certainly understand the need to prioritize and get the most bang for your buck.

I am a fairly new grower, still learning and experimenting. I have to say this site is great from exchanging ideas and learning new things.

Hope your girls pull thru soon.

Dude after a miserable first attempt I got the rapid rooter with dome and added a heating pad and after 2 weeks at 10 rocking. then need the heat and I was adding 8 oz's of water every 2 days per the instructions. Seems keeping the root bowl a little on the dry side helps spur it on. I also scraped the bottom 1" of the stem to expose more. :peace:

Trim off the brown stuff so they dont mold. And yeah heating pads do help alot but ive never used and alot of people dont. I understand that you wouldnt want to foliar feed, but i do it to some of my clones when they yellow bad like that one on the right. Jusy mix it extremely lightly. Lamp

Yeah more exposure during the cloning process is better. I will keep that in mind for next time.

Yes sir, she just got her hair cut last night (she had some quiet a bit of yellowness) I'm probably going to get a pad just to maximize the chances because seeing her die makes me sad. (bad parenting?) I'll post the picture of her.

Awesome to hear that one rooted. Im pretty sure that last one will root too. It looks like its trying damn hard. Give it a light misting with some ubber diluted nitrogen. Couldnt hurt at this point. Lamp
