i have 3 clones that were rooted in "rapid rooters" and put directly into mix of perilite and ffof. (90%-10%) i was running out of perilite :( watering with ro and small amount of cal mag. 100ppm. 1 still looks droopy but shows new growth i think so im hoping shell pull through, what do u think? the next looks healthy with a tiny bit of taco leaves annnn deeennnn the 3rd one. New growth and leaves are lively BUT i believe there is a bit of nute burn on a leaf. Can you confirm? this is my first time so im a bit jumpy. Seem to be looking more or less, ok.

NOW, BEFORE it is time to transplant, get more perlite and a bag of powdered Dolomite Lime to add to your mix.

These 2 items (especially the lime), will save you from many issues as the grow goes along.

ok, i have the lime, when i put them 2gal smart pots, how much should i use? and i will definitely get some more perlite. would u say a 70-30mix would be fine? ive been doing some reading and this seems like the norm. i am using 3 26w cfls 6500k above these clones right now, about 2in away, is this over kill? i have been keeping the strawberry diesel (really healthy one) and Maui Waui (slight burn) pretty much directly under them with cataract kush (droopy fellow) slightly away not to over do her. how long would u give for transplant shock normally? i know ffof tends to run a bit hot and thats why i was a bit concerned. thanks alot guys

It would be best to add to the mix now if you have it.

If you have the 1 1/2cf bag and just those cups out of the bag, add 1 1/2cups of the lime, mix well and the moisten to get it going.

Always better to add to the mix before use, rather than a top dress.

*I* use 2tbl/gallon of mix, or 1cup/cf of mix. More than that won't hurt, but not using enough, will.

I always thought ffof was to hot for clones?

Shouldn't you rock wool or light warrior?
I always put my clones into party cups with FFOF & perlite and keep them under CFL's.

Sometimes, no perlite. :joint::peace: some strains may not be able to take it?

yea there are some pretty heated forums disputing the use of FFOF right away but i figured id try anyways, it seems a bit hot for the maui waui but i think shell be just alright after awhile. ideally i wouldve mixed something like light warrior and perlite but i couldn't

I'll give you a rep+ !

I have some Pre-98 Bubba Kush and White Widow, kicking ass in straight FFOF.

But then my clones, kick ass compared to club clones. :joint::peace:
