You are straight either way if they are going to stay outside.
What light cycle did you have them on before you put them outside?
Are the plants view of the sun obstructed in any direction?

They were on 18 hours for several weeks then i put them outside.

They do not get full sun all day. Probably only about 8 or 10 hours of full sun.

I figured they would be fine, i mean it is light outside?

Hey Capncash , I had six clones that I planted in pots outdoors in early April. With in about a week they started to flower. They only got to be about 12" to 18" tall , but got some pretty nice buds on them. I cut about 1/3 of the top buds off and gave them a high nitrogen nutrient in the soil and foliar feed every few days. Two of the plants are just now going back to vegitative state. I should have plenty of time left this summer for them to get bigger and its pretty cool to get two harvests even though I did'nt get a whole lot from the first. Good luck on your grow.
