Hey all,

I've cloned many times before but always from mothers in the veg state. Unfortunately this time all females have been blooming for about three weeks. Is it possible to take clones from a flowering mother and have them revert back to the veg cycle with increased light?

Thanks!

I think i read somewhere's that you shouldnt take clones from a flowering plant if its later than two weeks into flowering. Dont quote me on it i can look it up and let you know.

I did. I cut 4 clones from a plant that was 5-6 full weeks into flower. They are just now starting to revert back to the veggy stage, it took forever.

Here's their time line.

Taken 12-15, showed roots 12-25 and they were transplanted into 12oz cups.

So it has taken just under a month to get them back to veggy state and that's only 2 of the four. The other two are yet to show any new growth but they are hanging in there and haven't died on me.......yet.

Hope that helps a little.

I know I took them very late, but I would have been a couple weeks ahead going straight from seeds, yes I know the reason behind cloning, just stating.

Good luck

I have a buddy that takes clones 2-3 weeks into flower and he has no problems.

I take clones 2 weeks into flowering everytime and have a near 100% suscess rate. Some say you should not do it but I do and have never had problems.

All female plants can be mothers. A mother plant is only a plant you dont flower, you just continue to vegg the plant to take cutting off of it.

ive cloned buds the advantage to that is they grow very branch actually maximizes yeild from all the extra branches its a bit harder to clone buds but very rewarding
