Clones not rooting

So I was wondering if this set up sounds legit to you guys. I will warn you that I do not have the capability to post pics. So two weeks ago I took my clones, dipped them each into clonex rooting gel, then placed them in oasis 1" cubes. The cubes were soaked in 1 gallon of 6.5 Ph water before. I then placed the cubes in my humidity dome and put a CFL over the top 24/0. The problem I think may be that I took the clones from plants that were 3 weeks into flowering, and also I am wondering if I am supposed to leave water in the bottom of the tray? I also misted the plants with olivias cloning solution periodically, whenever the cubes got dry. One more question, should I next time soak the cubes with the Olivias cloning solution?

You should have used water with a PH of 5.5 to soak the cubes before you put the clones in.

Did you shake out the excess water in the cube before you put the cutting in?

Your cubes should be moist only - not wet too much water will slow rooting.

Rooting/cloning solution is to dip the cutting in prior to putting it in the rockwool - not a foliar spray.

I never ph but I use rapid rooter cubes. YOu need to let the plugs dry up a bit so it forces the plant to make roots. If you mist and have the dome on for too long they will not root.
