I don't understand what you've done to those clones.

You should wait for those shoots that are growing with the new leaves on them to get around 5" long and clone those.

I'm surprised that's starting to root.

This is a perfect candidate for a clone.

haha I understand why you would say that but these 2 are just cut offs from the bottom of the main clones (notice 45* angle cut?) would usually have thrown them, but I thought id try and root them and mainline them as they are topped already so to speak. anyway, here's the actual clones 100% success inc the 2 above. I have no problem with cloning or clones, just hadn't had those white crystally looking things on top of the cubes before IMAG0547.jpg

They'll grow out of it soon, those roots will shy away from the light. Odd cut, but I've seen cuttings like this before do well. Once they take off they should be perfect for mainlining. Show them off to nugbuckets if you do...

Yep, if it's healthy and has any leaves it will root, I used small branches at first, but my mothers are big now and I have to move to 3 liter bottles instead of 2 liters. I used to use a Jiffy garden for the small ones, but, the bigger ones mature faster..008.jpg010.jpg :weed:

No worries. Just had to make sure!

I've seen this happen before with clones in rockwool too.

I've even had nodes that have been cut off at the bottom of the clone curl under and root down into the rockwool. Now that was some crazy shit the first time I saw it. Lol

looks like what happens when you are extra generous with the clonex
if you add clonex to the hydro solution, plants will grow roots several inches up the stem LOL

little bit tall for me, you could get 3 clones from that , but i think i would cut it in half and get 1 nice one the bottom looks a bit skinny

yeah, im not too keen on taking large clones, mine come from when I lollipop a week or so before flipping them so they'll still be 5" or so but, like you say, the bottom half goes in the bin, or in this case, 2 of them in a rockwool cube!! extra 2 free plants from a free seed, cant be bad.

i normaly take them about 4 inch, i have taken them much larger, i found that the regular size cuttings pretty much catch up with the bigger ones at around 2-3 weeks of veg
i tend to grow large plants so its of no benefit to me to take large cuttings, but if you are going to flower them real quick with hardly any veg time
taking big cuttings can be useful to get a bigger plant in a shorter time

they both have their advantages, just depends on the grow they're intended for ie. these for mainlining as they looked 'topped' even before I dipped them in the rooting gel lol. little clones for a sog grow, etc. I have 8 clones in the flower room now and 1 week ago they were 4 different sizes from 6-9 inches, this week they're all around 12-14in and looking a lot more even in height, just like you stated.

i have been taking cuttings during flower quite a bit recently that's been working out well
normally when i take cuttings in preflower from new seed plants i have to keep the cuttings for 12 weeks or so while the seed plants are finishing off to make space of the cuttings to grow
this is annoying as they get big and i have to keep cutting them back, then at the end of it all if the seed plants are shit , ill end up throwing the clones anyway
taking the clones during flower slows it down for me, so if i take them at week 4 of flower they are just ready after re-juv when i need them
and i don't have to keep cutting them back so much
