Im in a spot where I got major root rot in a room that has all my varieties, problem was ventilation, they are in 4 inch cube start and then placed into Hydrotron in fabric pots on a F/D table, so as soon as I seen them in trouble I brought them all outside washed roots in peroxide, some of them are still only in the 4inch cube the roots didn't venture outside of it in 2 wks, anyway Im trying to save what I can out of that room, but my Gelato the only one I have doesn't look good, so I cut a cutting from it and can only hope it roots which leads to the other part, I have 2 Gelatos that are 6weeks into flower can I take cuttings and what do I take a small bud and clone that ?

Always start with atleast a pic and your basic setup. It's going to save you sometime...good luck

If your just trying to save the genetics you can for sure take clones now, but like others have said it will take a couple months for them to be back to normal.

No to the cuttings this late into flower. Or go ahead and do it. But plant more seeds. You'll be into flower with your new plants before those Gelato cuttings root, go through their spastic phase and hopefully reveg completely.
Never heard it called "spastic phase" but that's an amazingly accurate description. I agree that he'd be ahead to pop more seeds. I wouldn't count on the Gelato revegging, and even if it does it's going to take months to get back on track.

You and me both. In fact I don't take flowering clones anymore. Just not worth it. Seeds are too cheap and available.

Well it works no problems at all just takes a little longer, these took 14-16 days normally it's 6-10 for me, seeds are not easy to get for me I needed to save the genetics.
