Clones will not root!!!! ! ! !

I have had one clone in a 4 inch deep container 8x8 wide,, air stone in bottom, the mist from the bubbles are coating the stems well....about 3 weeks now and the only thing for a root it has is a white ball on bottom of stem, thats alllll it does... stays green and alive but does not not grow......



any pointers ?

Please break down in minute detail how the clone was taken, how it was treated from cut to container, and what its environment is like.

Is this a clear container? Is any light getting where the roots ought to be? Was it dipped in a rooting compound or is there some in the water it's being sprayed with?

Were hands and instruments clean when the clone was taken? Have there been any weird light issues? Was the plant the clone came from healthy? Was it being revegged after flowering or did it come from a plant that was revegged? Is the temp in your room OK?

These are just a few of the things I'd need to know before any sort of diagnosis could be made. Without all the info, we're just taking shots in the dark, guessing what might be wrong...

If it's been 3 weeks with no results, though, I'd say scrap it and start over, if possible. A plant that gives you problems at THIS stage will probably be troublesome throughout its life, and if you can do better, you should.

Well, I don't know about keeping stem in dark and all or using rooting hormone.... It is possible after all to drop a cutting in a glass of water and leave it on the windowsill to root.... It could be bacteria, strain dependent, temp, etc... I'd definitely work on some new cuttings as suggested.

clones was taken from healthy mother altho she may not have been ready,,, she is young.. clone was cut with clean razor, i had it in a 1 inch rockwool cube at first. i made the container they are in now to check daily for roots, not clear but a blue color able to see through just enough to see the bottom of the stem. lights are 2 T8 24'' bout 4 inches from clones... at first it was just tap water i had them in, now its tap with willow extract.

Quit fucking with them dude.
Pick a method and let them be they do not like being messed with when rooting.
This is tried and true with 100% success for me.

THANKS a mill taint, i was thinking i needed to stop beating them up,,, this is my first indoor grow also, i been known to do magic outdoors,,, never cloned tho. and i have to substute alot of things cus right now,, its the poor mans way and i mean poor lol bout ready to go back into a lightpole hoping it falls so i get the bulb lol thanks again Taint and i may be back to ask u more questions if thats ok with ya ......
