I don't remember how this went last time time wise but I took cuttings 18 days ago and no roots at all. The plants look healthy sitting in the cup View attachment 1879282View attachment 1879283 (think they woulda wilted and died by now). Now my girls that are in flower now had roots when I got them and they took off. Now I really can't complaint cause I didn't follow any traditional growing methods (experimenting) just threw them in cups and started watering them as needed. Oh and I did move them from below the canvas to above the canvas under 2-23 watt cfls. All this to ask...... under the circumstances shouldn't I see some roots after 18 days ??

some strains take up to a month to root

check for bugs

roots grow toward warmth, if its too cold they wont root.
they also like it to be wet then dry (but not too dry to wilt) roots seek out moisture.

18 days, ya should have roots but if they are still stood up then there is a chance of rooting. It is very difficult to just stick a cutting into soil and get em rooting. If you dont already, put some sort of a dome over them to get humidity up (a coke 2l coke bottle with the top cut off does the job. My advise, invest £50 in a small aerocloner, I get 100% success every time with just plain water.

Well usually i see roots at about 1 inch of growth in 7 days... How many inches from the center of your stem, to the edge of the cup? That's something you might want to think about, there may be roots, you just can't see them yet. FYI don't nute these to hard once they do get roots. Clones like some water for the first week or so.
