clonex smell

first time using clonex. have a ppm of 800 in the res and there is a heavy sour smell coming from the res. is this something to worry about? white widows were clone 6 days ago and still look good, but only 1 of 20 has rooted.

I dont think any sour smell is good did it smell right after you put it in?

If you have any Clonex left in the bottle take a look and see if there are any little white chunks of debris floating around. About 6 months ago, give or take a bad batch of Clonex made it out of the factory. Its some kind of fungus that popped up in the stuff. Keep an eye open for any kind of brownish white scales that will form at the base of the main stem. The scales will constrict and form a ring, this ring will ooze a nasty liquid from it. In time the ring constricts so much that it will eventually cause the stem to snap and fall over from the weight of the plant.

The only solution to this has been tossing all plants and doing a mass sterilization. It took several cleaning sessions with a fungicide to take care of the problem.

I forgot to add, my method of cloning was using rapid rooters. There was also a funky smell that came with the fungi from the clonex.
