Hi ,i was wondering if anyone has any pictures of where to cut for clones and where to cut when topping off? i have read quite a few threads but im one of those people who likes to see a picture of demonstration before i go hacking my plant
thanks in advance

i'd go to the 4th or 5th set of nodes. top it. then root the cutting for later or a potential mother. it should root just fine.

i'd go a little lower. maybe 2 more nodes down.

wait, what are your intentions here? is this for a mother? to flower? do you want to SOG, SCROG, control growth?

I just want to maximise the growth but in a small area and get at least one clone incase this one does turn out to be a female
thanks so far

.... a clone is an exact "clone" of the plant you cut it from, if the plant is male the clone is male visaversa

fdd, you've given me some of the best advice I've gotten on this forum...saved on of my plants, so thanks.

Can you help me understand why you would go a few nodes down? What is the benefit to either or both plants.

Thanks...and keep bringin' the help!

i feel it would be a little stronger cutting if it were topped a little lower. then when it does take root i will be that much bigger.

with the plant i would leave 5 -6 sets of nodes. then continue to veg until ALL the nodes are at least 12". if you flower it now after topping you are looking at about a 1/4 ounce of smoke. i don't know how much room you have to play with but that plant, in my opinion is to small to produce a worthwhile yield. not to say it won't give good bud, i would just let it veg more. ramblerambleramble..........

Sorry man, never heard that. Is that 12" vertically between nodes or a 12" width at the nodes or something else my mind hasn't figured out yet?
