Cloning and trimming

Okay so I need to keep my plants from their normal 6 foot leap they usually get to and I know that cloning is a way to make the buds yield more thc an stops the plants vertical growth. So how does one properly cut the plant and transplant it for cloning. Or can I trim It and have the same effects?? I'd rather not have them reach maximum height people will be noticing lol thanks for all responses

cloning will not slow down growth spurts, if you want to keep the plant short your best bet is to top or fim your plant at the upper most branches if you dont want to top then use the pinching method

they say that when you crop the top of the plant it allows the bottom to produce more better buds aka when time to pluck buds the top will be ready first and cutting top will allow a few more days for botttom buds to get more potient, at least thats what sites have been saying thats why i thought if i crop them early it will stop the hieght and alow better buds. by pinching u mean bending the stock above the top nod correct?

pinching is taking the new growth and pinch it firmly so that the plant has to slow down to allow the area that was pinched to repair itself,before doing anything take the time to do some reading and video watching on topping , fimming, pinching,lst and whatever else you can find, going the way your going your going to run into trouble
