So for future reference this is what one of the cubes look like with no visible roots at all. The cut below is one of the clonex ones. If your observant you can see exactly which one...

No visible roots yet on any plugs; but i did give a tiny gentle tug on the stem of the one pictured below and it has definitely started to root at least somewhat. I put barley any pressure on it but it was firmly held in there; which is a great sign.

I'm thinking the cuts that were done with only water will take it, but i'm hoping for the honey
 
Will be keen to see how ya go. I always use Clonex Purple Gel but never have a very good success rate an takes about 2-3 weeks, reading what ive seen here that's about the norm... and here i was thinking i was just shit at it haha... Just a question though.. What's with the all the strains ending in OG? And what's PO stand for?
 
Get some Root tech gel and make some cuts stick them in filtered tap water for 15 mins then dip them in the gel and had 1ml to a gallon of Rapid start. You should see roots within 10 to 14 days. Be sure to keep the root area warm at 80-85 degrees to root. You could add thrive alive or sea weed to the mix and your good to go I promise. I am rooting for Honey!!!!

been using DYNAGro root gel.. from OSH.. works great have roots in my DIY aero bucket in 5-6 days but thats a aero bucket not a plug/dome it tas around 14 days to really be sprouting great roots from the plug.. but im not using the plugs anymore just bareroot transplant straight to dirt

Dude at my hydro store said the plug/dome is the problem and why they take so long. He said with OG's you really need an aerocloner to get much quicker because the plugs hold too much moisture and not enough are for the OG strains to root well in them. (In any reasonable timeframe at least)

Then again I take that with a big spoonful of salt because I guarantee you he had "just the cloner you need to buy" in mind.

I'm glad you have a good head on your shoulders, there is no such strain that needs an aerocloner. He is right about keeping the plugs too wet though, but thats all at the will of the grower. The plugs need to me moist but not wet, there is a fine line there and it takes daily attention to keep them at the right level of moisture for fastest rooting.

You can make one for ultra cheap. It'll basically be a miniature version of the tub I run with mulitple, tiny planting holes.

Rep+ for knowing what's up! My thoughts exactly, I figured out that keeping them too wet is detrimental a while ago and keep the bare minimum level of moisture in them now. I mist 3 times a day unless they are holding a lot of moisture; then I do 2. If the plugs are not what I consider to be too moist and I skip that 1 middle misting they begin to wilt in a matter of hours. So I think i'm keeping them at just the right moisture level.

In my case the cuts require attention 2 to 3 times a day, every day. These cuts are not shorted on love, that's for sure!

I know... im lazy & broke right now though lol It seems like more of a PITA then it would be worth, perhaps im wrong. I'm very handy at building shit like that and the thought has crossed my mind. My guess is I will break down and do it if I cant figure out how to get this Tahoe to root in what I consider to be a reasonable time LOL. That's at least after the media test though, before it'll come to down to that.

If after the compound and media tests are complete it still takes ridiculously long to root them I probably will break down and do a Cloning Experiment Part 3 - Aerocloning OG then we will have covered the entire spectrum of cloning bitch ass bomb OG strains! I do hope it doesn't come down to that though... I just want the damn Tahoe OG to root faster!

What OG Kush stands for is a mystery and there are a lot of things it could mean... Ocean Grown being my favorite... Maybe Original Gangsta Kush? Or many others...

OG Kush = Bomb ass clone only (usually) strains from California. The name has been throw around a bit lightly as of last few years and people have probably just started calling any super bomb ass shit "OG" but there are true OG Kush strains such as Tahoe OG, Skywalker OG, Banana OG, etc.

The tub I run is essentially an over-sized cloner. It would be fun and easy to make a little one. Maybe twelve sites for those neoprene plugs. Plug your cuts in, turn on the pump, and cover your cuts with any humidome lid. That would clone that stubborn PO shit. Probably wouldn't need any rooting agent, either. Man, I should just make one for you and ship it. Is that against the rules, RIU? LOL.
