Cloning for Sex.

Been trying to hold out throwing some plants over to 12/12. The plants in question are no showing pre-flowers even though they are huge and old. I wanted to try and take clones and put them in my flowering tent. Question is, will I have to spend 10 days rooting them first? Can I just a cutting and throw it straight into the flowering tent? I have a feeling this won't work. These things will be 3' feet tall soon and I haven't switched yet. Strain in question is AK 48.

Yes you will have to root them, a cloning station with less intense lights, higher humidity, and warmer root base via warming pads. Dont ever throw your clones straight into flower, itll really cut your end harvest because it forces the plant to attempt to go straight to growth hormones instead of root. For your preflower signs not being apparent, what kind of light/setup are you using? Also what nutes are you using? have you begun exposing the plants to small portions of flowering complexes as it gets down to the week of?
