Cloning in jiffy pellets.

Im going to be cloning here soon and ill be putting the clones into jiffy pellets my problem is that anywhere i go i cannot find rooting hormone. so i was wondering if i just take the clones at a 45 degree angle and trim the outer layer of the stem about 1/2 inch up and plant it in the jiffy pellet will this work? what are some other things i can use for a rooting hormone? :leaf:

thanks i will look into that!!, but now im curious will cloning work without the rooting hormone? just cut and plant into the jiffy cube

Yep will definitely work without. And as long as you use a dome and keep the cuttings nice and humid, they won't take long to root.

I always used rooting hormones and have been prissy over the procedure.
A few weeks ago I topped a plant and for a joke, took that topping and shoved it in a pot of moist soil.
That clone hasn't yellowed and seems to be growing better than any other clone I planted.
Misted 3 times a day for 3 days and left it to die but it's very alive.

ive got rooting hormone in powder form right here, i dont really see any difference using it when cloning in soil, it takes about 3-4 weeks.

Really stick a cutting in a cup of water and take a little care of it for a month (fresh water, occasionally mist it) thats all it takes for a cutting to start rooting, i know from experience cannabis starts rooting after 1 month but my Amnesia Haze clones within a week so its all genetics but max is 1 month, then it starts mutating very rapidly.

Good Luck & Peace!

so your saying the rooting hormone is making your plants less durable?
Not sure.

This clone hasnt seemed to grow yet so I don't wanna be getting my hopes up.
Just it looked the greenest out of many other clones I cut.
It may look nice but take longer to actually take root.
