My clones have been in rockwool for exactly two weeks now, and they still have not rooted. I'm having very much zero success rate. This isn't normal, is it?

Dome and Clonex yes. Also a small, 11W ESL. I generally don't adjust the water for PH nor do I have a heater though. I've experienced 30% survival rate with this setup before, using jiffy cubes.
I'm thinking of some cloning machine that could do the job for me.

i use rockwool all the time i use shultz powder & a dome & a single t-5 cloning light it takes me 3 weeks before i see first roots i mist them every other day with tap water for the first 2 weeks have patience as long as your leaves are standing youve not failed yat

i ph my blocks with lemon juice to 5.5 per directions on block packaging

I was having the same problem . I have been a farmer for years , and they would not root ! what the fuck ? every thing is in speck done correct. its summer time my temps were over 85 , are your temps around 75 ish what they like to root

if you dont want to wait out another week here is a little test you can try stand a block & clone upright & grab the main stem between your thumb & forefinger & give a GENTLE tug [i mean gentle] if you feel resistance [kinda like its trying to raise the block] youve got roots trying to start if the stem raises instantly without resistance theyre not rooting yet youve got to tug easy because if you overdo it youll damage new root growth youll get a feeling for it it almost feels like the roots are tugging back when theyve rooted because of the size of the r/w block & the fact theyre wrapped in plastic on the sides you wont see roots as fast as you do in rapid rooters or root riot type plugs once you learn the rock wool blocks youll like them as you can see by the pics ive rooted in jiffy pucks too but the shultz powder r/w blocks combo is my favorite followed by the root riot type plugs

The Rockwool, if too moist will prolong rooting.

100% success rate using home built cloner. Just mist cpl times a day no dome needed.

What strain are you trying to clone? For instance if you are trying to clone a strain that retains a lot of nitrogen, then sometimes its difficult to clone especially if you don't leech your medium a week prior to taking clones and if you don't reverse foliar feed with water on mother about three days before cuttings.

My strains for the time are Critical HOG and Diesel.

The touchiest part about getting clones to root is making sure the media - rockwool or jiffy pellet, has the correct moisture level. If you keep the r'wool saturated with water standing in the container you are likely too wet to root. I switched from the r'wool to larger 2" jiffy pellets because they are easier to maintain the proper moisture level in. A 2" pellet swells up so it sits upright and, using a clear 9 oz. cup, is easy to see how wet the pellet is. I shoot for keeping the bottom half of the pellet dark, wet. Much easier to see with the pellets. Works for me, BigSteve.
The strain I grew before had roots (in rockwool) in a couple of days. The ones I'm growing now just weren't taking root; I tried taking another set for backup. Nothing, but I kept tending them.
