Cloning in week 5 of flowering.

If clones are taken in week 5 of flowering, then it takes more time for them to root, but how does that affect the misting and fanning method? How many days should the dome vent holes be completely closed and when should I open them? I know how people usually clone with slightly different methods, but in my case I take the clones much later in flowering which prolongs the rooting proccess to my understanding. How would you go about it?

rooting clones from 5wk flowering plants only add a day or two if you're using
an aero cloner in my experience.
the need to mist & chk humidity of dome is why I went to aero from rooting plugs.

I wouldn't. I don't like that kind of stress on a plant. I always take clones at the flip. that's when I lollypop.

How successful have you been cloning that late? When plants are in full flower the level of rooting hormones.drop..
Making it hard for cuttings to root.. the longer it takes to root the more it deteriorates... when it does root it will take three weeks to reveg and get going..I've done fairly well at three weeks but cloning success dropped off after that...
Not the best cloning method to get healthy plants..

i just rooted n revegged 12 from week 4-5 of flower, all rooted and planted within ten days. only thing that takes time is reveg...your making it way more complicated then it really is.

These two posts make me nervous now. From what I've read the plants will all be the same in the end, whether cloned before the flip or late in flowering. Later just takes more time to reveg. That's how I've understood it.

Not cloning the plants because 5th week of flowering just started doesn't sound good at all in my situation. It has to work! Are you serious? I'm going to have less yield in the end because I cloned my plants in 5th week? What's the truth here?

I've cloned very late. I take a lower budsite and clone as usual. I use promix and a plastic cup (clear with holes) for the dome. I pull the dome a few hours at a time gradually increasing the time off and letting the soil dry a bit to force roots. To much moisture and they won't root just rot. Usually after a week or so I leave it off. Misting occasionally. I see roots in a week to ten days. I also reveg in the 5 gal sometimes. I took a cutting at 3 weeks on a Sitting Bull and I hope to spray the clone and get some fem seeds. This one is a keeper and I hate to keep mother plants. ymmv

I accidentally said I took the clones on 5th week, but actually it was on the end of 4th week.
I'm wondering if I may have fucked up my Chem 91 genetics now.. cos I don't have any seeds left and this strain is extremely rare to get the hands on.

What does he mean by that?

I hope this kind of stress doesn't reduce quality and quantity of the final product recognizebly. I hope it's more of a theory than reality.

I mean the longer the cutting takes to root...the more it has to feed off of itself.. without roots it can't uptake nutes..
So no photosynthesis is possible..

Oh right! This means my final product is not going to be affected by it! Right? This only means it will be a weaker start. Yes?
