cloning out of early systemic powdery mildew: is it possible?

I left some of my best strains to be babysat by a newbie grower, and he covered them in PM. The plants have not been cloned since, and until today have had no more signs of PM.

Before cloning today I discovered systemic powdery mildew just starting to show on lower growth.

Is it possible to clone the upper portions of the plant with no signs of PM, systemic or otherwise, and not have the systemic PM pass on?

I'd really hate myself if I lost my MK Ultra. Please don't be shy, all advice is welcome.

Screwed. It doesn't matter if only the lower portions of the plant are showing symptoms, the entire plant is infected. Short of using something nasty with myclobutanil(such as Eagle20, myclobutanil is a known reproductive inhibitor :o ), there's no real way to eliminate the PM either. Everything else is really just a band aid. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Thank you!

Yeah from what I'm reading, it sounds like I'm buying some Eagle 20. Anyone know the difference between Physan 20, Eagle 20, and Meltatox??

Hey, just remember that shit is nasty and concentrated...wear protective gear during application...Personally, I wouldn't use it without a respirator style mask, but I'm paranoid...Just don't get it on your skin.
