Cloning problems

Having a clone problem forgot to dip in water to stop air bubble and was wondering if this was the cause of drooping or some other factors cause if put in the dark they look half better but right when they go under a light (led shop 40w) they completely fall over. Cloned perfectly last time 100% rate. I also sterilized everything, took small amount of gel onto a sterilized dish, sterilized razor and split 1/4 inch up the root into 4 pieces. Dipped in gel cut tips of leaves and put into plug starter. Not sure what I did wrong I’m assuming it was the water dip? Looking for some criticism.

Its not humid enough in that dome you got. spray in there with water and maybe up the temps to 80f+
they look fine though....
What my buddy said lol they aren’t turning black leaves are still fresh but it like a dam horse you ran and fell over head up but body down lmao. Ohhh just dawned on me that fall changed the humidity and that’s why it worked in July and not in October smdh this why I need that criticism I’ll go get bottle to spray water tonight appreciate help.

Looks like light, humidity and temps. I maintain 40-60% RH @ 72-75F under a 18W T-5. If a recent, a day or two , from cutting? You can pull and recut and dip. There's life there. Good luck.
Dam 40w is too high? I thought that be fine I’ll go get a less powerful along with mister thanks man

a heat mat will help keep the temps up if its too cold. the warmer it gets in there , the more humid it gets.....and right now you want it as high as you can get it for the next couple days.

not too high if you raise it way up. 2ft-6ft will do fine. its the high humidity your looking for but yea, you dont need much light at all.
One other question I noticed the other was a fluorescent luminaire and the other is led. LED is one that pissed them off ( 40w ) prob should go eith the fluorescent like last time right

Forgot to ask how many sprays a day should I do? And just spray the dome not the clone right? Read to spray clone but that sounds off
I mist the cutting and dome as needed to maintain 45-50% RH as my target. I water the soil as it appears to be dry. About every other day. Conditions change and therefore the schedule. Keep the soil lightly moist and humidity close to 45% and you should be good.

you can spray them directly ....it wont hurt a thing. Mist the dome/girls once a day for a couple days , then start slowly letting air in there after 3 or 4 days of being super humid in there.....as the humidity lowers slowly , the roots start showing.

I dont doubt anything when it comes to this plant but for real? 45%? mine would drop and die within 2 days being that low. Even when they are full of roots i cant put them right into 45% without watching them fall within an hour. I cant even pull them outta the dome unless it 60%+ in the room.

Crazy how many different methods work. On a different note , if i dont have roots in 5-7 days i'll throw um away......that means something went wrong.

You are right about differing methods. Just have to find your sweetspot. 60% RH and I'm inviting gnats and mold here. State has mold issues period. Peace.

You probably dont even need a dome then eh? the only reason i use a dome is for the humidity. Your right though, if i could keep it that low i sure wouldnt have to ever worry about mold.
Ive seen hundreds of folks just throwing them in solos and letting them root but that sure dont work in my world. For some reason my RH has to be 75+ for my method to work. crazy

40 watts is way too much for rooting clones! You can hang the led a lot higher, i have my tci strip of 23 watts 60 cm away from the cuts and most of them root.

My dome is more anti cat and heat stability than anything. I need the misting bottle more. I get my cuttings wet about twice per day.
