cloning question

This is my first post on the forum. I have been out of the growing hobby for almost 13 years now. I had everything right down to a science after years of outside growing. A friend of mine has his Medical Marijuana Card and is coming to me for my knowledge. I was very well known for my "gifted hobby" back in the day.
My buddies first attempt at his indorr growroom is very pitiful. Everything he has is a complete MESS!! His girls all went to seed. He approached me a little too late for "sex education".
When I grew and needed seed I always seeded ONE female and this was done in a very remote location. At the end of it's seeded life it was finsihed as far as I was concerned. For most of my growing years I strictly cloned everything.
So here is my question (I hope this does not come to me later and realized how obvious this question was to answer):

If a female plant goes to seed and is then re-vegitatedand cloned, will the new clones produce seed at flower time or will they have to be re-pollinated? I am trying to salvage at least one of his plants and take cuttings from it. My plan was to re-vegitate it and take cuttings but not sure if this will affect the seed process. His goal (along with everyone) is to produce sensi plants. My undertsanding has always been that the pollination take place from flower to flower but never had.

Can this plant be re-vegged, cloned and be seedless?

Each pistil is individually fertilized, then produces a seed. That is the end of seed production, revegging or cloning will produce a sinsemilla plant. The exception to this is if your clone already has a pollinated calyx, but I doubt it would be vialable once the plant is back into a veg state.

Unless it is some crazy cross that should not die off, this will take a lot of work and I would recommend not cloning from a flowering plant. You are replicating the plant at the time you take the cut. Just because you can do it doesn't make it a good idea. Happy Harvest!

This was the idea I was thinking along the lines of but as I stated before I never had the need to try this.

When I grew 13 years back I had a starin that was "killer". I was well know for the quality this plant strain produced. Over the years I lost seedstock for this and coninued to clone every season. Now that my buddy has come to me for help he has one "stand out" plant in his garden that gave me a "flashback" in time. He actually has 3 of these plants but the one is more suitable. These are all the same traits as my "lost strain" plants. Growth pattern, look,smell is identical to my old strain. These even share the same "single leafy" growth patterns. His garden is a complete mess. He has several different strains taken from bags here and there. Now that I have stepped in I am going to help him get organized. My only thought was to clone the one plant for some experimentation for later use. I am going to help him wipe the slate clean and start over completely. Right now he is wasting time, money and space. I took the liberty of "gifting" him some good books. He suffers from condition that most "newbie growers. I call it ISS for Impatient Stoner Syndrome. He is among the 1,000's that are looking for overnight success. I am working with him on this medical condition (LOL).

I will be giving him some connections to some good seed and starting over. He is older and does not even know what a computer is let alone he's never even been on that "internet" thingy. He is very oldschool when it comes to living in this world.

Your welcome, always happy to help. ISS is an affliction which happens to all growers starting out at least to some degree. I still suffer from this at times, especially with new strains. Glad you are back after such a long layoff, there is a whole new world in growing these days over years past.

Thank God there is people in this world like you!!! I hope you get back in the swing of things and hope that you get your strain back !! And not to mention get your friend one the road to (recovery) LOL

I grew last year when they started that party cup grow competition and one of the plants i used was very very strong got the seed from outdoor grower never been inside as far as he knew but its an AK and its great smoke so I've had it since last year with 3 other plants revegged them and took clones just about ready to put them into flower now. I let them sit under 24hr of light for about 3 months like in a dormant state with little or no nute and minimum light they slowly grew back . I just repotted them when they where chopped last year and made the roots a little smaller and let them go . And it takes about 3wks or longer for clone to root in flower and it will not have seeds unless they are on the clone when you take it. Peace

i had this same problem with some blueberry i had it went hermie do to ph fluctuations and bad drops in temps when winter hit i re vegged it for about 2 weeks then cloned it and the outcome was hermie clones for some reason they where very healthy but still had to get rid of them sucked this is just my experience with it may not always happen this way
