cloning questions.

Hey everyone, can you clone a plant and make the clone root with just water and dirt?
Im pretty much asking if i have to buy anything to actually make it root.

Welcome, yes you can do it that way. Just like there are many ways 2 grow- same for cloning
If you do a soil grow -try 2 search for just that,if you don't get answers - same if you do hydro then method may change. Good luck sub'n because this is my next adventure

That might work but your success rate will be very low. Best to get some cloning agent like clonex and dip them and put them in plugs or rapid rooters, success rate doing this method, I am at like 95%. There are alot of cloning tutorials floating around.

ok thanks. i have actually heard that honey works as a hermonal thing but im not gonna try it since i will only have 1 clone lol

Just get a $3.00 bottle of rooting powder from walmart lol. Seriously the stuff works great, I clone my veggies with a 90% success rate with the walmart powder and some promix soil.

I will show you what I do for cloning...

I can't remember the last time a clone died on me...all you need is a 5gl bucket with lid...and a water pump I use a ECO264...cost 22.00...and some plugs..

So for under 35.00 you can be set up like what I am doing.......Here's some pics...I use clonex gell and nutes

yea you can, but your 1 shot may not work, i bought the smallest portion of clonex, cost a few bucks, then i just drop my clone after dipping into a rapid rooter, its a pre nuted plug, gives you all the nutes youll need in a pre plug, def the easiest way. let me ask you this, why do you have only one clone? explain, if you have a momma plant or whatever, just let it grow a few weeks then take 3, 4, 5 clones

If your looking for the cheapest way to go, then look around your neighbor hood or parks in your area for some Willow Tree's. If you have any, make some willow water. It's free, it's been used for 100's of years and it's a very powerful rooting hormone.

I use Olivias and rapid rooters. Never had a clone die. I have only taken 15-20 but they all pulled through. Like others said if i ever run out of the olivia's i will go to walmart and get the rooting hormone for 3-4bucks. olivias was 14-15 i think.

i have aplant outside and im going to top it so i was just gonna clone the top i chopped off and maybe put it in a pc grow case that i havnt made yet lol

Is this stuff by chance called Take Root? My grandmother used to use it exclusively for all her tomatoes, potatoes, and even apple trees and i was wondering if it'd work with cannabis.
