what are my chances of some clones surviving if i just snip them off the plant, peel it alittle at the bottom and stick them in wet soil, under the sun?

also would it be better to put them in some dixie cups with water till they root, or would it be better to just go straight into to soil and keep the dirt wet?

why not just put them in some rockwool cubes in some dixie cups? then transplant it into soil when it roots, alot better chance, and not changing much

i have had no luck with just plain water, but some growers do but your better off useing a cloning sloution. here maybe this will give you some help...

why dont you just get some jiffy peat pots some shultz powder growing homone at the HD(both will run for like 6 bucks total) just take the cutting scrape carfully s 1/2 inch of the bottom of the clone dip into the powder place into the peat pot(the smallest p pots ones are better)then make yourself a humidty dome(be creative) and once you see the roots poke through the peat pot just place the whole thing into your soil medium.. minimizies root damage when transplanting

The 1st time i cloned i didn't peel them and put them in wet compost, 2 outa rooted , but if i use root riot/ rockwoll ill gt 100 percent so should you, its cheap and easy.!

You can get rock wool at some hardware stores too. especially around this time of year when people are gardening and planting a lot. Ive seen them at fredmeyer and Home Depot and Lowe's. A lot of small mom and pop hardware stores in my area carry rockwool so I'd assume the same for others.

Sometimes nursery's too.

If they don't have rockwool they'll definitely have Jiffy Pucks.

also..... you'd be lucky to get one to root without any rooting hormone. it's very cheap to buy and in most sections of fertilizers in many forms. or you can get Roottech at a hydro store or online. but seriously.... I wouldn't recommend trying without it.

i thought same thing till i tried it! i was successful with 25 clones....5 of them just in a cup of water (no hormone or rooting gels) with air stone and have roots! i took 15 and stuck them in dirt in INDIRECT light and I HAVE ROOTS! the 5 left are in humidomes and also have rooted SO IT CAN BE DONE just cut a bunch of them.

Peace

for the best luck its better to use rooting hormone and know you'll have roots, as opposed to snipping a bunch of cuttings on your plants and hoping for the best. because if it doesn't work you're either SOL or you're snipping even more shit off your plants to try again.

Rooting Hormones are retardedly cheap and everyone should be able to afford them.
