Nutrients are diluted in properly pHed water... water is then used to feed plants.

Rockwool is a grow medium... just like soil is a medium.

I am starting to have good luck with soil doing this:

Buy a 20gal (or larger or smaller) plastic storage box.
Buy a 10 ft long lamp wire or extension cord.
Buy 2 screw light sockets.
Attach the sockets to the cord. about 12 inches apart.
Hang the cord and sockets from the lid.
Add 13-23 watt CFLs to the sockets.
Use larger or smaller bulbs, for the size of the box. Keep the inside temp below 85degF.
Use 16 oz plastic drink cups. Poke holes in the bottum for drainage.
Fill and pack several cups at the same time, with potting soil.
Poke a hole down the center of the soil with a pencil.
Cut and treat a small cutting with Rootone or something.
Stick the cutting down the hole in the soil.
Press firmly.
Dribble some ph adjusted water in the cups with a turkey baister.
Spray a mist over the leaves every few hours.

Leave the light boxes on 24/7. In 10 days you have rooted plants.

KEEP MISTING!

Done deal.

I just took my first 2 clones ever off of my only female. I cut with a blade, removed the lower fan leaves, soaked in a cup of water for 5 minutes, dipped in rooting powder, stuck it 2-3 inches down in some wet soil, packed tightly around the stem, placed a dome over each and have 2 CFL's on 24/0... Do You Think This Will Work???
