Cloning w/T5

Hey everyone from RIU. I love you guys.

Anyways, I just purchased....
High Tech Garden Supply

And got half and half on the spectrum's. My Question is.....

When taking fresh cuttings or growing from seed, what spectrum should I be going with initially phase till throwing them under 400 Watt HPS.

I have the following lights for usage.

In Flower Room I have a Floralux 400Watt HPS. Bulbs for fixture include 2 HPS(one extra for backup) and 2 Metal Halide Conversion Bulbs ( one extra for backup).

And the T5 2 foot X 8 bulbs in both spectrum.

I have read about ppl using half and half spectrum's on the T5. I would think in the beginning use Cool Spectrum, then go to Half, the full then straight to 400 HPS or to MH then to HPS.

Can some one tell me how to take advantage of what I have for optimum growth? Thanks for stopping by.

A lot of people seem to like mostly cool with a little warm for vegging, then mostly warm with a little cool for flower. You could go straight cool then warm but i guess adding the other just gives a fuller spectrum. I might do like 6cool tubes and 2 warm in your T5

OK cool. Cones have been under a t12 with cool bubls for 3 weeks and the growth is slow. That is one of the main reason why I got the T5. Some say the one I bought is too bright, is this true, and if so, I can always lift it higher or take some bulbs out.

Also, if the light is 25X25, does my grow area need to be roughly the same are larger? And how high should I mount this sucker?
