Cloning While Flowering Question - Dome?

Grew 4 varieties (clones received from dispensary) and one was a serious keeper - Blue Dream. I'm 4 1/2 weeks into flowering and the dispensary "disposed" of the Blue Dream mother, so now I must take clones deep into flowering. I took the cuttings last night, but am unsure whether or not to use a dome to increase humidity (not much humidity in the air here in CA)? The dome has two small vents, but I'm still concerned about mold and whatnot, especiall given that the cuttings have small buds on them. Do most people use domes these days even when not from flowering plant, or is that old school? Also, should I be misting with water a couple times/day?

Thanks!

the clones will be in flower, so youll have to re-veg them

Yeah. Not to mention if you make a big enough cutting it will retain moisture from its stem long after it's cut. So you don't even need the dome to help them keep up the moisture in their systems. You just need enough of teh stem. naw mean?

Maybe I should have taken bigger cuttinigs...certainly plenty of material...and I'm going to be very very sad if I'm not able to save the genetics of this Blue Dream - it out-grew the other varieties by 20-30% and even though the reported flowering time is reported to be longer than my other varieties, it is already more crystalized than the other varieties. After just 5 weeks of vegging, and now at 4 weeks of flowering, they are over 6 ft tall (and bushy)...I had to stagger the lights to accomidate the different heights of the plants.

those are so fine looking plants.

do you cut off the little bud before tring to clone or leave it for ever? Or cut off once rooted and growing?

That is a great question...I did pull some of the buds off the nodes, but left it on the top (otherwise it felt like I was topping the plant).
