cloning with rockwool

I'm plan on taken two cuts from a 3 week old plant that's about a foot tall right now and I'm plan on attempting my first clone using rockwool. So I have two questions

Will the cuts harm my plant this early?

What steps should I use to treat the rockwool for better results?

Rinse the rockwool well before using it, preferably with water around the 5.1 - 5.5 mark. Yes, I know its a little lower than most people recommend but I have good results. After the rinse shake off the excess - I usually just swing it around, being careful not to compress the cube. Taking a few cuttings won't harm the plant, as you say it's a foot tall and should be plenty big enough.

I have used rockwool my last 2 cloning sessions.i use a dwc set up so I put the rockwool cubes in a tray, added a air stone, put enough ph'd water to cover the stone by a 1/4" or so and presto!! Don't forget to dip your clipping in rooting hormone!

some people also don't like rockwool because it supposedly leaves a harsh taste also I hear that its a bitch to keep the ph @ the correct levels at first....soak them in ph'ed water for 24hrs b4 use ...could use root riots ?
