Closed loop system... Could use a few pointers

So I decided to go with a closed loop system. I purchased a 1 pound unit from dabzpro. Good unit and all. I ran the hell out of this for 4 days straight. kinda like a child does the days after Christmas lol. never using a closed loop system here is problems im running into. how do I DEWAX? I have searched high and low to this question and have not found a valid answer beside mid run opening up the unit and spooning out the fats and whatnot. So if anybody has a answer for me That would be a huge help. Mahalo

I've done the winterization. Desolving in grain alcohol and using a double bubbler to purge the alcohol off. That's fine for open blasting small runs. But how do I inline dewax is the question

You would need to buy a buchner funnel. Its is the process of getting the oil so cold that the waxes solidify and can be strained and filtered.

I thought about ordering one of those. So I blast into my collection chamber then pour into Buchner funnel? How do you recover your butane then?

Try putting dry ice in your column, i use dry ice when I do my thermos soaks and it reduces the total amount of waxes that are extracted.
I think there's an extractor company that claims they're close loop system can winterize without additional solvents by using dry ice to chill the solvent right as it passes through the filter.
Not recommended unless you know that you system can tolerate the added pressure from the co2, I would think your system has a pressure gauge so you can tell when your over the limit.

You don't need a Büchner funnel to winterize but it would certainly be nice to have because it speeds things up.
I think you need a solvent recovery pump to reclaim the butane, but you can still reuse the same amount over and over while on your material while you have it.

I think the company your speaking of is subzero out of Oregon. They want at least 9k for a half pound unit. There unit has a collector for the dry ice at the base of the material colum to freeze the colum. they say it gets to negative 70. Crazy. and yes my unit has a gadge. I was thinking there was a way to add extra filters to catch the impurities. I also just purchased a butterfly valve to stop the material from falling into the chamber let that get super cold then when I release the filters should catch it. If not am I stuck filtering from the collection chamber then recovering my butane?

I have a 50lb tank and a G5 twin recovery machine. The unit works great. Just looking for advise on how to fish this crap out. and when I do first 10 dabs on me lol

You shouldn't be getting material inside your collection chamber, I've seen people pack they're column with stainless steel wool before they pack the weed then put a filter over that.
I don't have a CLS so I won't comment on how to use your recovery machine to pump the butane back into your tank.

If you have a closed loop system already, try extracting at -50C so that you don't extract many waxes to start with. We use a denatured alcohol/dry ice bath to accomplish that.

We pack wadded commercial coffee filters in our column first, followed by the material, and then more wadded coffee filters. The coffee filters are held in place by screened gaskets, and stray particles have never been an issue.

So what your saying is run my system then put the collection tank in a dry ice bath? I'm not having a issue with material going into the collection tank. It's the overall product. It budders up because I can't get the fats out. only idea I have is run the materail then drop the collection tank in a ice bath to freeze the lipids and whatnot then open then tank fish out the crap re seal back up then recover. I'm at a loss .

Get those column temps down and the waxes won't end up in the solvent.

you cant unless you have a subzero extractor, i have already called every single close loop company everyone says if you try to get the column that cold the valves will fail.... I have looked into it because, I believe the retarded low temps I get my stuff to is what gives me such a clean product

Oh no no no lol I went from open tubes to a closed loop system lol what about a butterfly valve at the base of the colum? Close off let the material soak and frost up then run through? Subzero wants at least 9k for the half pound extractor I spent already 3400 on my unit. There has to be a way damn it lol

Goodluck with your system I think these things are bad ass but could never afford one hah.
