Ok, I have a closet grow going right now. I'd say the closet is 4X6X8 ft. I'm running six 40 watt cool flouros and a 600 watt HPS. I have three fans going in the room right now. Right now there are 15 plants about 2.5 feet tall and they are 5 days into the flowering cycle (12/12).
There is one problem...the humidity is through the roof. The humidity gets as high as 88%. I put two small containers of DampRid (basically calcium chloride) eight hours ago and it has pulled the humidity down to 83%. I was wondering if I were to buy calcium chloride in a bigger quantity do you think it would bring down the humidity enough? I really would like to avoid buying a dehumidifier. One b/c they are fairly expensive and two, I think it would raise the temperature in my closet too much.
Any advice on how to lower the humidity would be greatly appreciated, thanks. I would really like to fix this problem before I get too far into the flowering cycle.
