Closet Grow Venting

Not sure how a hole in the wall that they run wires through is going to help with your air exchange. But you're only talking about one plant so you're exchange demand shouldn't be that great anyway. Getting close to overthinking this shit

Yeah if that hole was through the wall on both sides I’d say sleeve a piece of PVC pipe that fits and just hook up one end of you intake or exhaust. Just to not have the air self circulating.
Of course don’t just dump that air into wall cavity
Plans for a carbon filter? Won’t smell much for the first month

I

I agree, a HPS is a bad choice for what he's trying to do. A 200 to 300 watt LED would be plenty for that tiny tent and 1 plant.

Run the filter outside the tent, leave the closet and bathroom door open when feasible, and call it a day. It ain't rocket science...
bingo I’ll use a LED and keep the closet and bedroom door open.

So Inside the tent I have a fan and that air is blowing into a duct with my carbon filter outside of the tent?

it will be a battle of opening and closing doors. Making sure you have enough air yet no light leaks during darkness.

humidity levels at lights out spike pretty good if theres nowhere for it to go, id hope your closet is nice and big. I learned that the hard way, my clothes and some books i had in there got covered in mold from the daily night time humidity increase. Had to finally cut a hole for a proper fan.

ok during darkness the door will be open and the bathroom vent will be on to vent the humidity, and I have good airflow in the closet and bathroom.

For growing one plant in a tent in a closet? How much thinking needs to go into air exchange? You can either keep the doors open or you can't. If you can't you need to cut holes. If you can't... Your sol i suppose but this is dumb
You're tripping man. I hope you do that shit in your own house and not one you're renting. The owner might be a cool person.

Edit: I mean if you're talking about venting into that hole in the wall. Just want to be clear.

Sounded like you were telling him to vent into that hole in the wall. Just wanted him to know that would be a bad idea. I guess I misunderstood what you were saying. And I'm not your bro bro.

If you can't exhaust or seal anything up I would ditch the tent and plop your plant down where you planned on putting the tent, rig your light up from the ceiling, get a few good air circulating fans and go for it. With what you have described your only option to grow is all the good tent stuff is just going to get in your way and not do anything--carbon filters hoses inline fans. You will just be using electricity and moving hot air around in your closet.
Are you on the top floor. Is there an option of a 4" hole into the ceiling of the closet?

yeah I’m on top, I’m not drilling a hole anywhere. If I ditch the tent and grow in the closet how will I get rid of the odor?Dont I need Mylar? Shit, my closet has 6 foot racks I can hang the lights on easy.

and if I ditch the tent I still need the LED light or can I stick with the HPS and MH I have?
