Closet grow.. wall color question

its blue.. id rather not paint it white bc the room is blue.. and its a 9 x 2. so its pretty big for expesive reflectant. u think i could get away with pinning up white bristal board?

emergency blankets eh.. to keep the heat in i suppose? wouldnt that be expensive to cover a big walk in closet tho? or are they cheap?

emergency blankets are easier to find then mylar. Ebay, there dirt cheap on there or go to local sporting goods store in the camping section.
You also can just paint it white.

so u think puytting brital board even a glossy white would be a bad idea. a lot cheaper than paint. and prolly blankets

you could probly use that, just when the humidity rises. That stuff might not hold up.
If its cheap, its worth a try i guess.

Actually now that i think about it.. would i be better to build a box.. like if i do multiple ops.. will the humidity damage the closet and surrounding areas as time goes on? plus the heat from a 250 hps?

if your concerned about that, you can use white poly. cover everything in it, then tape the edges.
Moisture wont get through that its pretty durable and heat resistant

good idea.. but there is 2 sliding doors. moisture will vent out bc the closet wont be air tight. u think maybe i should build a growing box? i live on my own. so i dont really have to hide it i also have a bunch of 2x4s all id have to buy is plywood i think.. i can keep it in the basement room where company wont enter unless i bring them in ther.e

I suggest building 2 boxes or one divided with one side a bit bigger and divide the smaller one in a similar fashion so you have just over half for flower and the other 2 sections for seedling and veging stages, it's discreet, less light will go wasted and no chance of damaging anything

Fuckn eh..g reat idea. would u know what size rooms i should divide it into? tryn to grow 4 maybe 5 plants. 2 will be autos 2 or 3 regs. i just have the one light.. but i have no problem running a few cfls for vegging side

I used "Alfresco paint-able wall cover" its washable and cheap at 10 bucks a roll at lowes. Check out the top of my thread to see the room! I used 3 rolls to cover all 5 surfaces.

it depends on how tall you want the box and/or plants to be, also dementions of the closet including doors and if you want to make two seperate boxes or just one divided, just one is cheaper but heat will be a slight issue, i have space for 5 and mines 3.5'wx2.5dx(about)3.5't, after this grow is done i'm going to divide it to have 3 in flower and do a SoG rotation and harvest about every 3 weeks, this is my first one in a couple of years and i'm tryin to regain my "weed legs" so to speak
