Ive been running my 1ooow for a couple days now and its getting too hot! I think it is because its cold outside and i have my heater on for the rest of the house.?. I dont know...i have it hooked up to my exaust.....we will see, might have to run the 600w for a lil while untill i turn on my ac. What do you guys think?

My White Widow have popped but now I have to figure out a new Hydro method for them. They were started Sat. I'm using FoxFarm nutes.

Its gonna be a minute for my Nl5 to be sexed and matured, then cloned.

Why dont we wait until we have some mature clones, then we'll start the comparison Journal k?

I get the best plants off of clones, or at least mature plants(6-8 weeks).

Then we'll do one thread with each of our grows? Hows that sound fella's?

If not..I understand.

That sux. Ummm, I cant seem to get my room past 70 degrees F running my thouie.

And when it passes the 70 degree mark(rare) I can see a little bit better growth.

Wish I could get higher temps!!!

Spring is almost here, and my temps should be at least 75 in my room in a few more weeks.

I would say you might need more ventilation to get that heat outta there.

Shouldn't get that warm in there DF even running a 1k light.

How big is the room, and what are you using to expel the warm air?

Is the warm air getting expelled through the ceiling?

Im running a heater here throughout my house set at 65-68 degrees at all times.., but there is no heat ducting in the growroom. I unhooked the heater ducting that normally blew hot air from the ceiling into my bedroom/growroom.

Then I ran my carbon air scrubber ducting through the same vent in the ceiling.

Might wanna block off the heat vents, and have a smaller hole near the bottom of the floor for inlet air, and let the carbon air scrubber take the heat out through your ceiling.

Thats what Im doing here...

I have no intake fan bringing in fresh air at all, The air scrubber sucks air from the smaller hole w/out any fan whatsoever.

If I had a small fan for inlet air I believe that I would get a whirlwind effect of hot air in the middle of my growspace that would not get expelled.

Basically you want your carbon air scrubber blowing the hot air out, and sucking the fresh air in.

Let the carbon air scrubber do all the work.

I have just finished with the cloning from my sexed Mt. Everest (45 day and from seed). Those were the plants I hoped to use in the bubbler I built. Unfortunately the support medium was wrong. It was a coco mixture (soil) choice. I pulled those and nettie pots out of bubbler and relocated in another environment ashey started looking stressed. I'm keeping them in the nettie pot and going to plant the who shebang into soil. Unless I can trade them and save one for a mother. But in essence, I was half way there to a hydro gro. had an idea about just throwing those plants back into the bubbler I built Covering it all in black plastic and just go for it. What do you all think?

You see, I cant assemble anymore dwc buckets at the moment.

I have 6 of them going at the moment in the veg room, and there is no room left to setup another one.

Only way I can do this is after I put my young GS in the flowering room.

Which is gonna be 6 weeks from now.

By that time, Ill know which ones are the males/females NL5.

Then I could either put the 3 female NL5 in the vacant buckets, or clone em and grow out the clones.

Id like to grow out 3 Glass Slippers and 3 Northern Lights.

Bottom line, I have a full house at the moment.

I have 2 bedrooms full of plants and no space under the lights to add anymore.

Im gonna be growing my NL5 in dirt under the t5 flo's in kegger cups until there ready for transfer to bubbler buckets.

Im gonna have to wait it out guys.
 
I was thinking about "buckets" also for my seeds. Am looking for pots & buckets so I can do it for myself. The hydo store have some but I can't afford the 50+ apiece. I also saw this amazing system, oh well, another "pipe dream". So I need that 5 gal bucket with handle, air pump & Hydoton medium (got Yesterday). Could I use a smaller bucket setup? It is hard for me to lift a lot of weight. I got some plastic bukets from the flower dept in the grocery store the other day and was trying to figure out if I could use these. They are black no holes.

Wow... I think you should go with the dwc bucket idea.. You only need to grow 1 or 2 plants in a bubbler to get sufficient yields... Yup, thats what Id do..

You sure can,

You can grow out of a 2-3 gallon bucket.

And that would give you more space in your grow area.

Only reason I grow out of 5 gallon buckets is because my roots grow out of control when there larger. And I like the roots to roam free...

So far the 5 gallon buckets are working, but wish they were a few gallons larger.
 
Maybe I could just change bucket sizes when I move out of the small veg area to the large flower area. Changing bucket sizes, small to large, all those roots. Possible? You would know?

Ive done alot of tweeking with my ventilation. This maybe hard for me to explain, i might take some pics tonight so you can see what i mean. but her goes...
I currently have my ac duct blocked as well. Because it would just be adding more hot air from the heater.
I have a passive intake for my main flower room. So when my exaust is on it pulls more freash air(from my house) in the room.
My vegg area is in the walk-in closet. It has a small duct booster(150cfm) pulling air from the outside the room. At the top of my vegg area i have a bathroom fart fan exausting the warm air at the to of the room, into the flower room.
Now this is where shit gets complicated! I have my carbon filter mounted at the top of my room, inside the carbon filter is my ozone gen. so the air is prefiltered and then treated with ozone then it is hooked up to one side of the light, out the other side and then a long run to the fan(470cfm), after the fan it is exausted out under the house and into the dryer vent. The thing is i need to have a long run of duct work to allow ample time for the ozone to work. I might just need a bigger fan or something. Oh ya the whole room is sealed for co2 later.

Now about the grow journal.
Im sure we are all limited on space. We all need to grow out the mother and take clones, and sex the clones, i just thought it would be cool to walk thru the entire thing together. That way people can see how different people do things. We wouldnt need to post day to day pictures just benchmark things like our cloning method, then bullshit untill they root and then post pics when you get roots. So someone could say "he did it like this and got roots in 10 days, but this guy did it like this and got them in 7" But for us its a way to learn something new.

And like this...
Remember how i told you guys i was germing some NL and blueberry? Well i think i fryed them. I put them on top of one of my floro tube light which isnt that hot. But the seed started to crack and root started to come out and then it got slimey and didnt grow any farther. Probably cooked them.
The leason here is dont try to rush things! I heard that if you put them on a cable box or something it will keep them warm like a heat mat. But too much is not a good thing. Ive always had trouble with seeds!! I love them to death!
 
Yes you can change bucket sizes, Closet mentioned earlier that he switched fro 3.5 gallon to 5 gallon for flowering (or maybe that was another person in another thread). Regardless it can be done. Just make sure your lids will fit both size buckets. So ideally you're looking for 2 buckets that are the same diameter, one will just be shorter (3.5 gallon) and one will be taller (5 gallon). When you're ready just swap the lid over!

Lids are the problem. I might have to figure out something else. I've got a week before I have to plant the clones, thnks.

Ahhhh... As far as the journal is concerned, I think Im gonna hold out for now.

Ill still post pictures on this thread of the germination of the Nl5 ect.. And you and 420 are more than welcome to use this thread for your germination and our comparisons....especially since it will eventually be a bubbler grow.

I haven't seen any dwc bucket grows from start to finish, and thats why I started my own thread.

Hope you have enjoyed what you seen.

I bumped up the ppm to 2650PPM ..hahahaa!

About 550 more ppm than normal at this stage of flowering.
