Clozettoker's first grow white dwarf fem

"amazing?" Ah thanks man! The smell seems to be staying in the room actually. I have three glade plugin type freshners in the hall and surrounding rooms and I can't smell a thing now unless the door is open. The smell itself is sort of skunky. This is without any other filtration other than opening a window now and then. I'm not using any nutes other than molasses and bat guano. I went into this thinking that I would try the less is more philosophy. Next grow I am going to use foxfarm soil and nutes!

I have fawking spidermites! There are some muched spots on a few of the leaves and I found a few strands of webbing in my cola. I used a product called Safe brand Soap or something and it didn't seem to phaze them, as I found they had remade their web when i turned the lights back on. So now I have a humidifier in the closet and a fan blowing on medium directly on the plant. I also have the window open lower the temperature. As I understand it, mites hate high humidity and cold temperatures. Man, three weeks to go, I hope this doesnt' fuck up in the final stretch. Next time I am using neem oil throughout the whole grow.

Ya, I took that humidifier out. That was a pure paranoia move. Here is my new plan.

My new plan

A:Take deep breaths and settle down
B:Move plant away form lights
C:Turn fan so not pointed directly at plant
D:Water with straight water and nothing else this time
E:Walk away from the plant and wait!

ha well bro seems like you may have left out one step in this plan...get super stoned int he process. i know you said you haven't smoked in a while but just thought id throw that out htere lol. how are the buds looking?

Well my plant seems to be doing better. No new damage spots and no sign of mites. She had a musty smell for a few days after I increased the humidity, but it seems to be gone now so I don't think she is rotting. She is still budding up quite well. I had to move her to a new location for certain reasons, so she was in my cellar for a while, but the temp didn't get above 55 degrees, so now she is in my garage closet. Luckily this strain seems very hardy, she has survived all the hell I put her through with my noobness. I probably stunted her growth a little at least, she is still not quite 12 inches. Ah soooo close to harvest!!!

ya crazy....it won't be long befpore I can do that other step you mentioned!

I could go quite a while longer with this grow couldn't I-- and get a little better yield? Aren't the leaves supposed to be looking more dead before I harvest?

what is the ratio of red hairs to white hairs? also run to radio shack and pick up the pocket microscope, its like 12 bucks and will tell you what color your trichs are. that is the best way to know. the lower fan leaves will start to die off as the plant pull its lasat energy and nitrogen from the leaves. plant is looking real good bro

I harvested my cola 3 days ago because the trichs were cloudy through a jewlers loupe. There were some amber trichs , but I prefer a nice social head high to a couchlock high. I smoked a little piece of it which was smaller then the size of my pinky nail after it had only been drying for a day. It burned black, but tasted fine and it got me so fucking euphoricly high that I decided to chop my plant today. I felt a little bad when I got into it and found some of the less mature buds. But it's done and now I have easy ryder to look forward to when it gets warmer. The dried nugs are the most beautiful that I have seen in person. The wet yield without the cola is about an ounce or about 28g I guess, according to the shitty diet scale. There are still a very few sugar leaves that i'm going to trim later. So I am more or less satisfied with this grow. HUGE thanks to crazytrain for sticking with me through the whole grow and giving advice and encouragment! HATS off to the hardiness of the white dwarf strain! I really put this plant through hell. If I can grow it--you can grow it better lol!! (the first pic is my cola btw)

congrats dude it looks real good. did you trim them befoe you hung to dry? if not you should it will be alot easier than when the leaves ae dry. let me know the final weights if you can get a hold of a good scare. and deff fill me in on the taste. great first grow man. enjoy

Hey, man here's a very late update. Yes, I trimmed the rest and cured her for two weeks and the smoke was very smooth and sweet. The high was less euphoric and more stoney after my first smoke. As for the final weight, not sure, looked like about a quarter.

i'm going for white dwarf, snow ryder and auto assasin. with 4 100w cfls will these surfice do you think for the whole plant life. i'm a first time noob so any advice i get would be very grateful thanks brothers !
