roots can take in oxygen and CO2. thats why overwatering can kill any plant, because the roots are suffocated.I personally dont think that the CO2 through the club soda would work because traditionally CO2 enters through the leaves not the stem and roots and bubbles in the plant? just doesnt seem that good of an idea but who knows someone should try it.

to adjust ph levels in the water or soil, i've heard of ppl using vinegar to make the ph level go down (acidic), are there other solutions besides the actual pure ph solution to bring the ph level up? (talking about common household liquids/products)
