Hope you have super long arms and balance

When the need arises to change out bulbs near the middle you will have problems unless your ceiling is plenty tall and you have walking room between the plants

I recommend 3 @ 4 bulb

so i picked up a T5 from fluorogrow off of ebay...they're selling 4'x4's for 99 bucks, free shipping and its a fulham racehorse ballast so i thought, why not? They forgot to list that they would only ship to confirmed paypal addresses so my light just ended up at an address i haven't lived at for a while now...anybody think they'll make up for it, or will i have to try and track it down a couple states away?

For a good inexpensive T5 HO light look into Oddysea lights, they make aquarium lighting. I am running an Oddysea 24" 96w T5 fixture and am going to be getting a second one here soon for when I go into flower. A good place to find bulbs is here http://www.drsfostersmith.com/fish-supplies/lighting/aquarium-t5-ho-fluorescent-lamp-tube/ps/c/3578/3733/13821 they have one of the best selections of T5 HO aquarium bulbs I have found so far.
Not only that, but they ship the T5 lamps with the utmost care, better than ANY other lamp distributor. They put 2 lamps in the original manufacturers packaging within a very hard cardboard tube with caps, and then pad it with peanuts in another shipping box. Yeah, it's a pain in the ass getting all the peanuts, but I take them to the local UPS store to recycle them. Then the hard cardboard tubes I use to send the defective T5's back to the store because let's face it, it happens more than we would like it to.

Only thing bad with that store for purchasing T5's is they are very expensive. It's nice they have free shipping, but they are still very expensive. DO NOT BUY THE GIESEMANN LAMPS FROM DFS THEY OVERCHARGE. They charge around $25 a piece for the Giesemann lamps. They should be more like $15. I always get my TrueLumen 460nm lamps from DFS. Really good customer service.

Why not confirm your addy with paypal? Not that big of deal. What's the Ebay link to that T5 fixture?

Actually, there are a couple fixture manufacturer's that make 5-lamp fixtures for around $125. Personally, I would have liked to have gone with the 5-lamp fixtures because I think the absolute BEST lamp combo would be 3 x UVL 660nm and 2 x TrueLumen 460nm. I'm willing to bet money on it, and I haven't lost a bet yet. LOL Yeah the 660nm are a little more pricey, but SFW! Once you get some fine ass buds off of it who cares anyway? And, maybe if we would buy more 660nm and keep having quality control issues with them we can convince UVL to drop the retarded high price a little.

Have you tried this combo for veg? Seems like you would get small bushes with super tight nodes

I can see Truelumens + Florasuns for veg

Next grow I plan to use ATI Special Blue Actinic + Aquasuns for veg: late veg + FS

Don't look for $$$ of 660s to come down, but only needed for last 4-5 weeks

Early flower + RedSuns; mid-flower replace ASs with 660

one step ahead of you on the addy confirmation fonz, but getting no response from the seller as of yet. i kinda feel like they owe me at least an explanation and a fixture if i can't find out what happened to it...i wrote a letter but i mean there's no telling whether i'll even get a response; i doubt the current residents will pay for shipping to forward a package to the previous tenant--if they even respond to my letter. I don't know what i would do, probably tell ups to return to sender but if it got dropped at the door while whoever lives there now was at work, then i dont know what i'd do...i guess you could call ups and get them to come back and pick it up but that still would only get it back to the sender

heres the link http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=fluorogrow&_sacat=0#item1e70295b27

pretty sweet deal really, i may just get another one
be easy

I guess it is best to have a current address on your paypal account.
you would think, intenseneal, but current address and confirmed address are two different things with paypal. I have my current address, but to have it confirmed it must have a card capable of electronic transactions (i.e. debit/credit) linked with that address; Since i have been buying things with no issue on ebay for years without having a confirmed address, i didn't really think much of it. So, i guess the lesson to learn is rather, don't keep old, confirmed addresses on your paypal account.

Just wanted to let you guys know my progress my seedlings have been under my T5 for 2 weeks and are looking pretty good. Have had some problems with the heat so the leaves are curling up on one and don't know why another has a yellow spot but overall they look good to me :weed:

Sup yo... some of you might remember me from last year (link to the last grow in my sig if curious) --well I ducked out for a while due to some unrelated stuffs... but anyway, I'm back now, with my closet reworked for more convenience and better environmental control. This is now a 16-bulb 48" "PAR-conscious" T5 setup.

Here's a link to my new grow, about two weeks or so away from 12/12 flip now, love to have people following along if anyone wants to join me over there.

Here's the new grow:

T5lyf dawg... at least til my bulbs die :)

I just got a little over .5g per watt on a 2'x4' scrog in soil with my first ever grow under a 4' 8 lamp HO T5.I used 2 quantum 2900k,2 Flora suns,2 UVL Red suns and 2 UVL 660's for flower.Buds were very hard, sticky and strong.
