hey guys soo i saved enough money for a cd 12 burner.... they say by the calculations on the green air website.. it will fill my space to 1500 ppm in about 10 mins....in using a one car garage...18 by 14 by 9 my question is since i dont have a controller that is keeping track of the ppm in the room yet how often should i have my timer turn this bad boy on? every hour or every other hour when the lights are on..? thanks

buy a co2 meter do some testing to figure out 1500 to 1800 ppm and how long in an hr and then once your dialed in return it lol

thats fucking kool but with co2 i dont wana fuck everything up a matador monitor is 800 bucks thats like 700 for you guys well worth it.

well i will buy one next time..but for now//a 8 dollar digital timer turning on the burner for ten mins every hour during lights on...

Assuming a room that size starting with normalish 300ppm air, that burner would need to burn ~2oz of propane in that 10 min period to achieve what it claims.. Thats a big area! A BBQ tank is only good for about 160 of those 10minute exchanges, so you'd be burning a tank more than every 2 weeks in flowering..
On the issue of the reading, it gets more important to have a true reading as the area volume increases.. CO2 is heavier than air, and tends to pool in the bottom of a room while most ppl properly exhaust near the cieling.. Your romm may still be sitting around 1200ppm when your next cycle starts, or on the other side of the coin, a garage could easily have a draft leak that carries a ton of CO2 right outside.. CO2 is just waay more manageable in smaller areas.. How many sqft of actual plant canopy do you have in there? Would tenting it up somehow be feasible?

wwell the room is sealled... i guess i could tent it...yea i am going through a tank every 2 weeks..not too bad..cost 18 bucks and now i have 3 tanks... i found two just sitting infront of lowes..lol.so i grabbed those guys...i will soon be swticting it over to NG soo i can burn it off of the house line..that will be sweet.. and cheeper
