CO2 Extraction

I've seen recently online that you can do an extraction of essential oils using dry ice, a pressure tested chamber and a water bath. The people on youtube used a glass vial of some sort, but I was wondering if you could make one out of stainless steel that has a pressure release valve. There's a tube that has a screen close to the bottom to hold all of the product and a space for all of the hash to collect. The top of the tube has a heavy duty cap and screw with a pressure release valve. Then put herb in there with some dry ice. Close and shake then put in a water bath sitting on a lab grade electric burner and let it go. Does anyone think this would work?

Shake and the hash just sifts out on to the top of your table. so easy.

I'm trying to do something rather out of the ordinary to get over the top pure hash. I also am interested to know if using a stream of hot argon gas in a depressurized tube and bubbling that through a solvent?

umm, I dunno. Just don't blow yourself up in the sake of good hash. Shit man, bubble hash will get you fucked up. I tend to go the simple, organic route.

Do you have any reason to do the overly complicated processes you are saying? Just for the sake of being overly complicated or is there some valid reason?

I like the idea of CO2 hash, because as far as natural and organic goes, CO2 takes the cake. The unfortunate thing about CO2 extraction is the equipment made to do it is balls ass expensive. I was hoping to figure out a way to do it simply and cheaply. There is a way, but I don't like the procedure and the yield is shitty. I intend to improve the idea, and I was asking if anyone has seen something like this or if anyone with more chem knowledge than I could ring in.

dry trim or herb + dry ice in a bucket + 220 micron bubble bag on bucket +10 minutes = 220 micron blonde hash

If you want a more refined hash repeat the procedure with a smaller bag (but use your 220 micron hash instead of dry trim or herb). Then you get everything below whatever sized micron bag you use, and then you can keep the larger hash that didnt make it through the second round, though I think the 220 is fine. Some 90 is a bit better though.

Nothing but pure trichomes from this. I don't understand how you think you are going to improve upon it.

EDIT: Ok I looked up the process and I don't see why you would want to go through all that. For anyone that wants to know, when you increase the pressure on co2 above 72.8 atmospheres (and the temp above 31C) it becomes a supercritical fluid. This fluid is then used as the solvent. The fluid has advantages over regular solvents because it has no surface tension so it can get into all the nooks and crannies much easier. It also extracts in a fraction of the time. But it requires expensive equipment, some chemistry knowledge, and time. I think the cons far outweigh the pros of this method. I would stick with dry ice hash.

I don't know how I can distrust anyone with a defpic such as yours. I thought it was a little too good to be true.
