Co2- Is there enough....

My green crack is looking mighty fine to me. She seemed to be growing nowhere and then I moved her into the tent and bamm......she spread her wings.

Getting the closet closer to dialed in...The garage should make a much better home. Now the Co2 leakage doesn't concern me and I'll be able to do a better "close to sealed" ventilation system. Probably not the best enclosure to try and keep Co2 trapped in but it actually doesn't leak too fast according to my controller's co2 sensor. Much of my setup I feel could be improved upon but moving this thing today was enough for now : )

looking good man, what does one of those tents cost ya? i am still trying to learn what over fertilizing looks like and underfertilizing....people swear you can tell, it all seems like yellow leaves or burnt leaves, notice that?

mount that flex duct over the back door so it is straight as possible, you wont believe how much airflow you lose with tight turns. remove some of the length if you have to, it will help.

Just the tent alone was a little over $200. That was one of the cheapest parts....

So far I've been thinking that yellowing of leaves w/o burning during vegging is a possible sign of underfert and tip and leaf burning (at least from what I've experienced on my plants) is a sign of overfertilization. Can't imagine the plant getting burned too much from underfert unless the soil ph was really off or really thirsty. I'm sure there are other signs to looks for. Ihaven't killed my plants from too much or too little yet thankfully. : )

Thanks for the advice on the ducting too. Yeah I should take another picture with how it is now. I used some of the extension cord to keep it straight. When I had that blower in the other room it was farther away so it was straight. Can't wait till it's dialed in : )

Thank you deeptissue you just talked me into buying a co2 setup. i have been debating weather to spend the money or not. this shit is not cheap when your tryin to get started. the girls look great!

Glad to hear that my plants are looking good to another grower. : ) The Co2 set me back a bit but it sure gives the plants a boost. Let me know how it goes!

im just a sheet metal worker thats all. have done ducting. i think im under fertilizing in nitrogen and over fertilizing in potash and phosphate

here is my plant at four weeks flower. not running co2 but i plan to next grow, i think i took care of my nitrogen problem

Co2 has it's benefits. It has been a bit of a headache for me which I should mention. I use a hydrofarm regulator on my Co2 tank (one that the hydro store has loaned me cuz the one they sold me sucked a**.....would always stick open cuz of freezing. I was able, with the original regulator, to crack it open just enough to keep it around 1500ppm with leakage. Basically I had it filling as fast as it was leaking. This seemed like such a waste to me so I took the original Hydrofarm reg that I bought back. I've heard a lot about these sticking but I couldn't get it to work at all without sticking, which would flood my tent with high levels of Co2 (wish my controller had a alarm) They took the reg back and gave me a loaner which was working flawlessly until I moved my operation to the garage this past weekend. Yest I got home to find the CO2 stuck open and a "HiGH CO2" reading on my controller. I felt the weight of the tank and it was still pretty heavy (just filled it) so I don't think it was on all day. Anyone have one of those inline regulator heaters? My solution so far I'm finding is to make sure that the CO2 is open enough so it doesn't have to click on and off a bunch causing the reg to freeze (@ least 10 scfm) The results I'm seeing in the plants are making it worth it and I'm hoping the inline heater will work well enough. My other option is a Co2 generator. Anyone have one of those? Trying to make the grow closet as automated and worry free as possible : ) Love the "security" of indoors. I feel like an overwhelmed baby sitter sometimes guarding and moving my outdoor plants. My roommate needs to let go of our gardeners!! : O

i have a gas washingmachine and dryer and i vent the dryer exhaust into my grow area for 15-30 min twice a day and it seems to be thickening my plants up quite a bit since ive put them in there permanent area. but be very causious doing this my dryer is in a unattatched room from the living areas cause you might run into a co2 problem in your house

strain is bubba kush. i move the big buds out of the way so the small buds can get more light, i didnt remove the buds under the scrog screen like people say to do. i figure if i can get light on em, why should i remove em?

i wonder what is attached to the exhaust from your dryer, not sure if i would do that.

I've got an automated co2 setup that comes integrated into the BloomBox. It is intended to maintain 1600ppm in the cabinet (3x4x4) - I've never measured. A 20lb tank last for 4-6weeks and you can hear it switching on, hissing in, and switching off - I think its every 15 minutes or something like that ..... The results that I have are very gratifying. Whether its the co2 or not and to what degree, not sure, but as a system it works well for me right now.
