CO2 meter for grow room

I am concerned I do not have enough Co2 in my room would the INKBIRD Wi-Fi CO2W Detector or similar do the job to keep an eye on it?

Aren't some of the components in the sensor itself radioactive as well? Not sure about co2 sensors, but in a modern smoke detector, there is americium-241, and even a hazard label on the little chamber that contains the goods.

For real though, if you collected enough smoke detectors, and scrapped all the americium from the ion chambers , you could build a radio isotope thermoelectric generator power plant that will run for a long time..

You even try to make your own nuclear fission device, and the men in black will come install a taser chip in your nuts, suicide your mom, and beam you with mmmkay ultra until only fentynal + cocaina will stop the pain.

Looked at it to connect to outtake and intake fan but I run a Ecotechnics fan controller and they do a add on that can work with their (my) existing controller. Must admit I like the Inkbird stuff great value.

Could I possibly be lacking in co2 with a more or less sealed room, 8 inch intake 10 inch exhaust with 3' carbon filter one slight bend in exhaust pipe, room size 2.2w x 2.0 h x 3.4 long. Lights are 3 x 600HPS
I only run the fans on 50% tick over on the fan controller so as soon as the temps go below 24 they run at half speed.
I do not supplement with Co2.

With a 8” intake and a 10” exhaust, your room isn’t sealed whatsoever

That's the controller i've been recommending for like 6-7 years to people, but now there are 5 more brands with the same NDIR digitial co2 controllers, and probably the same hardware inside all of them. They are all on sale around $160 too.

I want to say get the inkbird though, because they've always been pretty decent with everything, but I haven't used that model. It has 2 different sensors to pick from, one more for humid environments, which is probably the best one for a grow room.

A sealed up room has no intake or out take. wt you got there is a passive room you need to turn off the fans while the cO2 runs. so you get the full use of cO2.
