just wanted to know a correct mixture to experiment with co2...and if set in front of a small fan would be o.k. to distribute co2 over plants....would this damage hps light if on ? the fan and jug would be lower than light set in corner of room...thanks for any input.:blsmoke:

hey BM,, i used 2cups of sugar and 2 tbl spoons of yest for 1 gallon of water. if youll boil the sugar water before you put the yest in it seems to make co2 for a few extra days. id get about 1 week worth of coz from 1 gallon of the mix. if it starts to slow just shake the hell out of it. and i dont know why but if you use the bottle with water in it as a seal for the co2 container it seems to last alil longer too.

here's what i find:
when flowering; i use a 2 liter bottle, use 1 cups of sugar and about a tablespoon of yeast. this is alot of yeast in a 2 liter bottle because I want them to eat as much of the sugar durring the 12 hour light period as they can. becuase if they don't it will be wasted durring the 12 hours of dark. at times, i have put a ballon over the top of the jug to expand as co2 is created durring the dark cycle and then release it at the next light cycle.

when vegitative growing: you can use a 2 liter with 3 cups of sugar desolved and about a teaspoon of yeast. they will eat the sugar a little slower and release co2 for maybe a week.

taste a drop of water if you are unsure if it's still active. if it's sweet, they still have food. hope this helps.

na it wont mess with the light at all,,, as for the fan,,,,CO2 is heavier than air so have the fan at the lowest part or your grow room blowing the air upwards. i dont know how your planing on setting your COs cantainer up but the only thing i can think of off hand that might be a prob is if you run an air line out of the 1 gallon jug where the air line is over the light. sometime the mix will make a foam that will come out the air line and drip. it that hits your light your screwed. i use the double bottle style for my co2 and the 2nd bottle always catches the foam so none gets on my floor/plants/lights. after that mix setts a week youll be glad you have it where none gets out. it smells like an old beer can rrr sumthing
