Im going to be getting my 2o lb tank soon and regulator. I cant really spring the money to get a proper timer so does anyone have advice on how I should run it with a regular timer in a 6x6x6 grow tent? I dont want to just crank so much in there and it be used for nothing but at the same time dont want to do so little that its a waste as well?

any advice is apprecited!

i'm sure someone will stop by with a link. there is a formula for it based on the size of your room. i did a quick search but couldn't find it. someone will show up soon with the info though. also, really not worth it to use co2 in veg imo. plants can't process those higher levels of co2 when they are still vegging. unless you are vegging monsters (3'+). good luck man.

well the best way to do this is 2 filters and 2 centrifugal fans(a third one for your light/s), one scrubs and he other exhaust( their are ways to set it up with one filter, but it wont be any cheaper than buying another filter)

one filter scrubs 24/7 the other exhausts right b4 you fill up with co2 (this will serve many purposes for the time being understand it brings your co2 ppm to around 300) i usually estimate about 3 hours or less of useful co2 time, these factors will depend, you can but the simple tester kit and run schedule nd test it at different times of the day to understand how long your co2 last on average, and remember his will change with plant number.

i exchange air every hour and a half to 2 and half hours, im a little wasteful with my co2 but thats because i want to ensure my ppms are in range for the longest period of time, and my room isnt he best sealed.

heres a link for the co2 calculator should prove helpful,

even if i where to get a controller i would still exhaust out the room several times over the day, the benefits from fresh air outweigh the cons from a sealed room, IMEO

test kit, youll have to but the refill tube they aren't cheap at this website but they have them cheaper other places,

i use co2 on my veg tis true elevation to "higher" levels such as 1500 ppm will be useless, but being in this environment as plant would prove to enhance growth.

i use co2 in everything since it is all one area

awesome thanks for the help!!!!!

it will mainly be for my flowering plants cause thats where i have high heat issues (not to solve to to help with the issue a tiny bit) along with wanting the co2 for obvious reasons. it will leak into the veg area of course but oh well lol!!!!

im not using co2 to bandaid or to fix my heat issue thats why i said to help a tiny bit... i know i made it sound that way but im getting an ac for the room first which is whats on the agenda for this weekend when i have time off... which will eliminate the issue anyways! but ill be going even further with it to assure no issues later on! then ill be adding the co2 and what not.... im actually evicting myself from my bigger room to the smaller one and switching my grow room so theres more space so things dont heat up as much along with adding my ac im getting! but cant do the switch until next week when i have a helping hand cause im only one person lol!

one reason im switching to the larger room besides the standing issue but is because ill be addidng another light here soon and need the extra room for better venting through the window.... once i start everything ill be putting it up in the grow room section just for shits n giggles!
