Co2 Question????

I know Co2 help during the veg, but will it be useful during flowering? Does it make yur buds grow bigger faster??

Yes it speeds up the grow time. I use 1500 ppm from start to finish. I grow aero and veg 10 days then flower 12/12 for 5 weeks and harvest.Co2 used correctly will increse yields up to 80% in some case with at least a 30% increade.Bigger buds,tighter,bushier plants and less stretching.Helps make them produce more resin

I've seen a few CO2 methods on here, one being baking soda and yeast.

How effective is that for a small, 2-3 plant grow?

What about dry ice during flowering? Dry ice is used as a source of CO2, doesnt melt like regular ice so there are no worries about humidity, and since its cold it would help the buds change color(specificly the purple strains). Im willing to try it with my spring grow...but i wanna run it by some veterans first.

is aa refill expensive?

To get the real benefits you have to get the ppm up to around 1300-1500 constant and temps need to be around 80-85.A 20 lb co2 tank costs about$20 to refill and lasts about a month in an 8x8 room.Co2 generators use propane tanks like gas grills which are about $20 each and last a month also.A co2 boost bucket costs about$120 is ideal for small grow areas of around 5x5 feet max.Dry ice can be used but its gonna cost you figure $2 an lb and youll need 6 lbs aday from day 1 to day finish so its around $700.The small yeast soda bottle are about pointless but a bigger 5 gallon bucket setup can add some help.If you homebrew just vent your tank to your grow area and get free fermintation co2 at no cost

You can lease co2 tanks from some gas/welding supply places, I lease a 50 lb tank for $60 a year, cost $17 to fill it up. I tried the cheap ways and they are not worth the effort.

i use the old yeast and sugar method. i have 6 different containers that i add sugar too weekly. once and a while dump out the water to get fresh water b/c the sugars are converted to alcohol and hinder yeast fermentation. yeast is reusable. never measured it, but definitely makes a difference. my grow is small though just a 2x3 area under a 250hps.
