CO2 regulator help needed please

Hello all,
I just changed the tank on my new CO2 regulator which was working just fine before. Now there is air leaking very fast through a hole in the regulator. Does anyone know what might have happened and how to fix?
Thanks.

Not what I was thinking. As a bar person I have seen them cracked due to being over tightened. Since I am not failure with that regulator, was that hole always there? It seems there is another in front of it that seems "closed" like a safety relief. Have you removed and re-connected the tank in case of a bad connection? I know for a fact if its leaking your going to loose your CO2 tank contents so you may as well shut it down.

Yes, I have closed the tank. It was working just fine, then I changed the tank and it started leaking out that hole. It is a new unit so it is covered under warranty.

I think that hole is just the relief valve, sounds like your new bottle got a bit overpressured there so its just letting a bit off to be safe.

The new tank is not full, almost empty. It probably did get shaken up a bit when I moved it. I will try it in the morning after it has time to settle down. I will replace it with a full tank later in the week if the regulator is still working.
BTW, I spied on your grow and it is spectacular. You are a master grower.
Thanks for your help.

You know I honestly went and looked at mine, it doesn't have a hole, but it Does have a relief valve. I am not sure what your hole is for. are you sure everything is nice and tight? Take a cup or 2 of water and mix some liquid dishsoap with it and put it at all the connections, it will bubble where the leak is. Make sure any gaskets that were between the regulator and bottle did not fall out when things got disconnected.

Yea, everything is tight. I have to wait until Tues to call the store, but it should be covered under warranty. Until then, I am trying to breathe on them as much as possible. I also have the window open so they are getting some fresh air. I only have 6, so it is not that big of a deal not to have the co2 probably. Thanks for taking the time to help me. +rep to you.

You can mist them with carbonated water in the mean time if you want to give them some extra CO2. Mist every so often until you equipment is replaced.
